Ocean Mist Beach Hotel, South Yarmouth

My family and I found the Ocean Mist PERFECT. I tried to cancel our reservations a few days before due to bad reviews. So glad I didn't. Did not have any problems as described in negative reviews. Staff were friendly, helpful, flexible (swimming at midnight one night, toaster, iron, ironing board). We stayed in a loft and thought it was very nice and clean. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and even remembered that someone from our room requested decaf! Good parking, good beach, GREAT for kids. Our kids were on the beach every day before 7:30 AM and were able to go back and forth between beach and room all day. The hotel is convenient to other locations as well: night life, shopping, and other beaches. If you had a good stay, balance out the bad reviews and describe your own experience.

The only thing to like is the location Old & Rundown Dirty Pool closed most of the time, due to bacteria Overbook rooms Room reserved not available

I and my sons just returned from our stay at Ocean Mist. I had no complaints about our weekend there. My sons were disappointed because there was no microwave in the room and another bathroom. The motel does need some updates.

My friend and I rented an ocean view loft room for four nights mid-week. Yes the hotel is dated - probably renovated in the late 80's - and needs a little work, but the room was very clean and the service was excellent. The private beach is pretty much right outside your door and was very nice. Its not a 5 star, but where are you going to find a clean and functional hotel on the beach for this price? We would definitely go back.

was very loud and the staff did not do any thing to make it better- it is a party hotel and very dirty...........

We didnt sleep the 1st two nights because of noisy people above us. They sounded like herd of elephants.... We complained and were told we could move for an additional $50.00 a night. We shouldnt have to pay more just to sleep. I thought that the staff should try and make your stay enjoyable. Not the case here. Stay away from this musty old smelling place. It needs major overhaul work.

ew this place is absoutly gross. me and my family moved next door to the Beach House at Bass River eh dont waste your time. Ocean Mist is just plain. doesnt have a good beach.

this was not the first time my family and i have stayed at this resort we love it so we always come back as much as we can. however when we drove into the oceanmist resorts driveway we were a little disappionted it was not the same it looked kind of run down but we also went off season so we figured ehh its probably because of the storms. we walked into our room which was told to us that it had been renivivated it was NOT the ceiling was in poor condtion and kinda smeeled like urine when we had walked into our room. but its true you cant let small things get in the way because the room had a phenominal view of the ocean and you know somthing you dont spend all your time in the hotel room your tour and the tour sites are AMAZING!! this hotel if great for families young and old! :D

My husband and I have been going to the Ocean Mist for the past few years and couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. The staff is always very friendly and courteous. Rooms are neat and clean and housekeeping is great. We have been to the Cape so many times that we don't do all that much sight-seeing so we enjoy just lounging at the hotel, whether it be at the beach, by the indoor pool, or enjoying the breathtaking views from our balcony. But, it is a great central location for those who have a lot of fun things planned for their Cape Cod vacation. Great hotel for the money! Enjoy!!

The set up was wonderful, right on the beach. The service was great. It rained for 2 days when we were there so the in door pool was fantastic and warm. Very clean. People who were at the front desk were very nice.
