Quality Inn, West Springfield

I travel extensively throughout New England for business and use this hotel regularly. It could most certainly use a deep cleaning or remodeling, but everything works (especially the wireless internet) and they have balconies. That may seem like an odd thing to point out, but if you are a smoker who stays in non-smoking rooms, you really appreciate it. The rooms are clean for the age of the hotel, the pool is always in use, and it is easy on/off I-91 or the Mass Pike. You should ALWAYS be able to get a room here for under $60 (except during Eastec or the Big E), so use the money you save to walk up the street to Calamari's Grill for an excellent meal. There are also other nearby (walking distance) restaurants.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff was very helpful with directions. The room was excellant and the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. On complaint that I do have is with internet access. I was under the impression that the high speed access was included with the room rate. Overall, I would recommend someone to stay at this hotel if they were in the area.

We booked the hotel online and the pictures looked fine. When we walked in there was a smell of air freshener masking the underlying odor that I could only describe as throw up. The first room we got was absolutely filthy, the bathroom was dirty and the shower had alot of mildew. the rug was dirty (not vaccumed)and stained. It took three rooms to finally feel comfortable enough to stay. the Manager was helpful with having the help clean the final room but by that point we were disgusted. the next day we checked out and canceled the next night. We were charged on our credit card anyway and we are currently disputing the charges. There are plenty of other hotels in the area much better for just a few more dollars. I normally wouldn't bother writing a comment but it truly inconveinenced us and made our trip less enjoyable.
