Dallas girls weekend getaway
By Jo, 5/8/12
The staff was very accommodating, we arrived early in the morning and they let us check in. The bed was wonderful, the room was clean and spacious for 4 girls, and the view to the river was WOW!! I was honestly surprised with hospitality :-) and very affordable too. I will stay here again.

Do not stay here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/17/11
The only good thing about this place is the locatoon. The services are less than satisfactory. Staff should be replaced. Poor customer service.

Inhospitable
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/30/11
I stayed here for a weekend with a few friends back in March. It might have been because of the convention that was in town, but when we checked in (we made our reservation far in advance) we had to wait for 2 hours in the lobby to get our bags moved up to the room, which was near the top floor- as we watched countless people check in right then and there, and immediately have their bags moved. The elevators were unreliable at best. It was purely a hit-and-miss chance of getting one when you wanted... and an even bigger shot in the dark to be able to fit in it once it hit your floor. Be ready to climb LOTS of stairs if you have anywhere to go in a hurry- and pray you don't get a room on the top floor. Service was relatively friendly, but lazy. For the three days that I stayed, I didn't get housekeeping for two consecutively. They charge $6.50 for a single beer. When I'd leave the hotel to eat somewhere else for a reasonable price, I would normally have to conform to a security check upon returning. On one occasion, before I could get my foot in the door of the lobby, I had to show my keycard. TWICE. The room itself was quaint- not too fancy but definitely one of the nicer hotel rooms I have ever stayed in- it had an excellent view of the Boston skyline, which is gorgeous at night. However, I was concerned when I saw what appeared to be stray pubic hairs dangling from the tiles of the shower. The room was expensive for what it was, in the end. I was charged for internet, but I was happy to receive basic cable, as well as a small fridge. A microwave would have come in very handy, but was lacking. Location is wonderful- from the lavish, intertwined shopping mall to the markets only a short walk away, the itinerary is the only saving grace for this hotel- making it a popular convention center. Very good for late night creeping and fun. Avoid like the plague if you want a peaceful, relaxing, or comfortable stay. Beware of drunks sleeping in the hallways at night.

Best Service Ever and Can't Wait to Return!
By Terry R, 7/25/10
The Marriott Copley Place was the most service-oriented establishment in every way! I attended a six-day international conference and couldn't have asked for a more delightful hotel! Thanks to Julia at the front desk, Charles and Jack at the bell captain's desk and all the servers at Champions. The breakfast buffets were fabulous (thank you, Julia) and our room was superb! We had awesome views of Back Bay from the 15th floor, the fridge and big screen TV were terrific and the pool and spa were exceptional after a very long day at the conference. I can't wait to return to Boston with my husband and experience the Marriott Copley Place again!

Never Again.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/26/10
Received my bill for one night at $369. Submitted my expense report to my company to find out later that they actually charged me $412. Where did the extra $43 come from? Based upon the reviews, I am not going to bother trying to contact them to be faced with problems of them not contacting me for my refund. I will never stay there again. Way too much money for the room and they can't be trusted with billing you the correct amount.

One of the Worst Hotel Experiences I've Ever Had
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/11/10
Arrived on a cold winter evening and was given the smallest room I've ever stayed in...It was large enough for a twin bed with a two foot passage on one side of the bed. I returned to the front desk and asked for another room. I was told rather curtly that's all they had. I could either stay there or go elsewhere, but there was a convention in town and no one had any rooms (In other words...Tough!) Room was next to the elevator shaft and I could hear the cables and machinery running all night. To make up for a long day and lousy room, I treated myself to a nice dinner the evening I arrived...which was actually quite good. I charged it to my room. The next day when I checked out, they didn't have the restaruant charge. I pointed the missing charge out to the clerk....and was informed rather rudly, "Well, I don't have it." My response was "Can you get it?" The answer, a curt and rude "No!" My reply again was "I'd like to pay it now rather than get a bill for it in a couple of weeks." To which the clerk said again rather rudly, "Well there's nothing I can do about it". So I paid my bill and was thrilled to leave this hotel. About two to three weeks after this departure I received a very nasty letter from the hotel manager accusing me of trying to beat them out of my dinner charge. It wasn't a nice reminder, it was a nasty accuation of dishonesty. I sent a letter of explaination and payment back to the hotel manager. I never received one word of apology from this Marriott Hotel....and to top everything off, I'd already sumitted my expense report for this trip and had to eat the cost of a rather expensive dinner. I've done my best to avoid Marriott Hotels in general after this experience and would never, never stay at the Boston Marriott Copley Place again.

Never ever again
By unhappy, 1/12/10
If you are just looking for a bed to stay in sure stay here. If you expect guest service then your better off saving your money! The service i received was not only not there but their staff was flat out rude and not helpful. Forget trying to get information from their concierge, they look at you with a glare and give short and limited answers. If they don't know of something they will not look anything up! They mine as well have a computer giving visitor assistance, it would be a lot more helpful then their staff and friendlier!! Bellman forget it! Extremely rude! Carry your own bags to avoid them! Want to hit their gift shop? Don't expect a greeting or assistance. So much more I can say about the horrible service. Horrible, horrible! And expect to wait 5 minutes at least for the elevator! They have 6 elevators but it seems only 1 works, and when it does come to your floor expect to have to squeeze in to avoid another 10 minute wait for another full elevator! Only positive i have is a comfortable and clean room (although my non smoking room reeked of smoke) and their front desk agents were nice. Not worth my stay though! Hospitality is not at this Marriott!

Would not stay again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/29/08
Recently stayed at Copley Place. Found it to be overpriced, they charge for internet in room ($13/day) or in business center ( 0.60/min) when it's not out of service. Closest internet is approximately 4 blocks away (0.25/min). Food was overpriced-go to the Food Court in the mall attached if you want a reasonablely cheap meal, not overly helpful staff and some can be quite rude. No hotel shuttle and if using the general hotel shuttles, be careful, the prices change and they don't run on a consistent basis. Taxi's charge anywhere from $25-$41 per trip to the airport.

bad experience with accounting staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/12/08
good location. be careful of not leaving any balances with them. The person concerned with the accounts is least cooperative and very rude. You can never reach the person on the phone as the person is always on the lunch break any tme you call and leaving voice mails wont help as u will never get the call back. Had hardest time getting my money back. Wont stay in the hotel again.

Excellent Hotel in an Excellent Location
By Jennifer C, 9/5/08
I stayed here for 4 nights while I toured Boston. The hotel is in an excellent location--on the trolley stops and across the street from the Prudential Center. There are many excellent restaurants and stores within walking distance. The nearest T station is about 4 blocks away. My hotel room was spotless, and the other hotel areas were extremely clean as well. I did not require much interaction with the staff, but when I did they were courteous and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!
