Terrible Wedding Venue

The management of this hotel is incredibly incompetent. The actual space is nice, but it is not worth the effort of having to put up with the unresponsive, untrustworthy, and uncaring management and staff. It is amazing how much they screwed up. The General Manager actually told me that they are not fit to handle weddings there (this was after 2 event managers had already ceased employment there and he was left to take over for them.) Beware!‎

i wouldn't stay here again

front desk clerk was rude and charged me for the water that i didn't drink. she thought i smoked in the room. she tried to penalty for that. i wouldn't stay here again.

Classic Charm!

Thank goodness the Yankees were in town and all inner harbor hotels were booked, otherwise we may not have stumbled upon this gem of a hotel! Set in picturesque historic Mt. Vernon the Peabody offers a very comfortable stay with classic old world charm in a beautiful location. Our room was immaculate and tastefully decorated (hard to find these days). After a night on the town we returned to the classy hotel bar to enjoy a delicious dessert and nightcap. For the price, this hotel exceeded my expectations by far, the staff was helpful and extend a complimentary room upgrade. I would recommend this hotel to those who enjoy a non-commercial boutique style hotel. Also right down the street form the amazing Walters art museum. I will certainly be staying here again.

not very good

me and my family are from ne ohio and we came here to vist family .this hotel was not very good cause their was old milk left over from the last vistors and also my son heard mouse runing around at night it needs a up grade in style cause know one is into the old school look this is not england.in the end they give us our money back

Out of the Harbor Area

If it was not 6 or 8 blocks from the Harbor area i would go back. Being a tourist I soon realized this place is not in the right location. Room was clean and comfortable. Very quit and allowed for a good place to rest. In the morning I checked out and realized the Harbor Area was too far for a nice morning walk. Probably would not stay again just because of the location.

Very Pleased

I recently stayed at the Peabody, with my husband, for a trip to B'more that included a Johns Hopkins Hospital visit. The staff was exceptionally helpful. The room was nice, not fancy but clean and well-appointed. The view (do ask for an east-facing room) was lovely -- right across from the Wa. Monument. The n'hood is also close to the light rail -- a 1.60 fare from the airport. The hotel also provides car service to JH for patients. The hotel restaurant served a great lunch (we had take-out of a club sandwhich and potato soup;the tea was good too!) Overall, a very pleasant experience.

great location

Great view and location; but, suprisingly the thing I remember most was the cheap toilet paper! I was shocked. Other than that, the restaurants quality does not justify the price, but there are plenty of great restaurants near by.

WOW!

This hotel was great! I found them because of the Baltimore Opera. Hotel staff was very friendly and the location and neighborhood was very charming. If you dont like historic neighborhoods or non-commercial hotels you wont like this hotel - but this is exactly what i liked about it. The first school of music in the US is across the street! I parked with their valet and didn't think it was too bad. (it is optional afterall). Great hotel. I will stay there again on my next trip!

Don't Park Here!!!

The overall hotel and location is nice - but I stayed there for a wedding for two nights and they charged me $56.00 for two nights to park my car!! Come'on this is Baltimore not NYC and this is not the Four Seasons although the staff thinks this to be the case at times. I forgot a tie and I called the concierge who I had to advise her to get out a phonebook to look up Brooks Brothers in town to give me a the # and then I had to call my own cab to go and get it! If this is trying to upscale the town then they need to act like but not by charging an obscene amount for car parking!
