Riverside Motel, Ogunquit

Our party of 4 had paid for 2 rooms signed and acknowledged policy asking guests not to smoke in room or near building. Smoking receptacle was setup near water away from rooms near water. When the two members of our party who smoke went to collect the room keys the owner said "All non-smokers" we replied "No two smokers and two nonsmokers, but we have signed and understand the policy." At that time the owner told us, "I should never of booked you in, I'll will give you your money back and you'll have to leave. That's OK with you." he stated. When one of the party replied it wasn't he threatened to call the police and made him wait outside. We then had to find another place a mile off the coast for the trip we had booked 3 months in advance.

The Riverside is the most wonderful place to stay! My sister and I go from Vermont for our yearly Sisters' Getaway and we truly love everything about it. We just got back from a six night stay. It is immaculate, the staff is top of the line, the view and convenience to Perkins Cove and the Marginal Way cannot be matched, and I could go on forever. It is five star all the way!

I spent 3 nights at The Riverside and was very pleased with the room, location, and staff. The room was very nice and larger than what I had expected. It had 2 double beds, table, 2 chairs, refrig, tv, and plenty of closet space and drawers. Also, included was a nice breakfast of coffee, tea, milk, oj, cereals, danish, and dougnuts. I stayed on the upper level (which is street level), and enjoyed the beautiful views of Perkins Cove. It was a short walk from the hotel over the footbridge to the shops, etc. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. I will be back many more times and will choose The Riverside for my stay.

We have been staying at the Riverside Motel located in beautiful, picturesque Perkin's Cove for the past 4 years and can't even imagine staying anywhere else in Ogunquit!! All the rooms are clean and comfortable and all offer spectacular views of the cove, the village and the coastline. Just cross over the footbridge and your in the village of Perkin's Cove. From there you can walk around the village, pick up the trolley or begin a magificent stroll along the Marginal Way!! A trip to Perkins Cove/Ogunquit would not be the same without staying at the Riverside Motel. It's truly a vacation of a lifetime
