Everything I needed was fully attended to and the staff were very helpful and one would say I felt at home. Great hotel, great price to anyone needing a hotel in the portland area. And with the Maine mall so close, the car was not even used. I have stayed at hotels once a month for the last 8 1/2 years. I recommend this one for sure.

Hotel staff had an attitude with me because I booked this hotel online for a low price; hotel manager told me:" I don't know how you got this rate", which I found inappropriate and demeaning. I was given the worst room of the hotel(unless all rooms are the same and that's scary). The room smelled of stale and mold throughout the stay no matter what I did. I had to go out and buy air freshener, fabreeze, etc., nothing helped the smell that remained very strong as soon as I entered the room. Housekeeping would forget something almost every day(some towels missing, tea/coffee not replaced). Breakfast items very limited, fruits not fresh, yogurt passed expiration date. It sounds like a good deal when you read their description, but it's a whole different story when you stay there; don't believe their 100% guarantee statement neither.
