Grand hotel is finally back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/18/12
We have been staying at the Windsor Court since 1998 when it was clearly one of the best hotels in the country. We have been staying there post-Katrina despite the obvious difficulties the hotel has experienced and have overlooked the mechanical problems and need for things like new carpet. I am happy to report that the recent renovation has restored the property to a condition I would expect from a 5 star hotel although the swimming pool is still under reconstruction. The service is also back to the old standard, although I miss the old sit down check in. Good job by the new owners bringing back this great hotel, which holds many wonderful memories for my family!

Nice, BUT needs work......
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/10/11
Overall the hotel was nice. My first visit from MS,and had been in the bar before(2004) The lobby / tea party area very nice.We stayed one night, service was 4/5 star rating. Room was run down some, and the pool area in July needs big time work.Green algae from 3 to 4 leaks from pool to the sun deck needs pressure washing and a good coat of paint badly.I see a safety issue..... 3 stars from me....

Great Wedding Venue
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/14/11
I had my wedding at the Windsor Court in March. The staff was amazing everything was taken care of perfectly. I highly recommend the Windsor Court for brides, especially out of town brides since the Windsor Court has one an amazing wedding coordinator who makes planning from out of town a breeze. Most of the guests were from out of town (NYC) and everyone LOVED the hotel for many reasons including a great wine list, and WONDERFUL food.

Best hotel experience you wil find in NO.
By jerome, 8/5/10
This Windor Court just got sold a few months ago. The new LOCAL ownership (finally!) has transformed )this hotel into it's former glory. No finer hotel and no finer service in town. I read prior reviews of dirty rooms but I guess that was the previous ownership cutting corners. I am a local and have never had a bad experience even under the old ownership regimes. No one I ever recommended from out of town had anything but rave reviews about their stay. Many locals, including me choose the Windsor court for anniversary weekends, parties and the absolute best dinners in town - bar none. Best meals in the city. I am not on their payroll I just absolutly love the place and have referred many people to the Windsor Court over the years. They always return to the Windsor Court when they return to New Orleans. They used to have some incredibly cheap summer special rates. I don't know if they stil do but they were cheaper than many 3-4 star hotels in town. This place is 5 star + Ritz Carlton staff is wonderul in New Orleans but the Windsor Court staff are just a cut above with local staff and management in positions. Pure southern hospitality - not imported.

Great Place
By Harvey L, 6/22/10
As a local have had go to the hotel often especially for the Lunch Buffet and have always enjoyed the experience. The lunch is great for this time of the year with it's grilled and cold selections. Service is always very good and the wine selection in every price range. The hotel is now under local ownership again and worth the trip.

Terrible Service and Very Dirty
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/27/10
This was one of the worst places I have ever stayed. It began at check in when we arrived with many bags and there was no bellboy to help with the luggage. The rooms were nicely turned down, but were clearly dirty, the carpets were gross and there was mold on the walls as well as spills that had never been cleaned up. The service at breakfast was nonexistent as an hour and a half after ordering we still had not been served and the place was practically empty. The housekeeping service just continued to deteriorate as our stay progressed. One day the bed was made but our robes were on the floor (remember the Gross floor). I understand about Katrina, but that is no excuse for filth and lack of service. I will not return.

Horrible hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/15/10
We enter the lobby and it all seems so nice. They directedt us to our room. and we walk in to a room that has not been cleaned and had two beds. We had requested a king full suite facing the river. We were facing the river but as I said, it hadn't been cleaned and it had two beds. They sent us to another room facing the river but it still had two beds, not the king we requested. It was supposedely clean, but I made sure I wore my shoes becasuse the carpet was nasty. There were sequins still on the floor. The amoire was had broken handles, the makeup mirror was broken and hanging on for dear life. The air vent was coasted with dust. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I had always heard great things about it, but I will NEVER stay here again. Holiday Inn has to be better than this.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/17/08
Presentation of the hotel when you walk in is awesome. You can smell the beautiful fresh flowers. The room that we stayed in was clean and service was great. It had a strange smell it but not enough to change rooms. Overall the stay was AWESOME!!!!
