If walls could talk...........
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/20/06
They would say knock, knock, knock, because that is all we heard during our stay. We understood that the storm knocked out a few things but be considerate to the guest that are stayiing in your hotel. The food was excellent, the pool was ok. We must take our hats off to the staff, although the construction started early in the morning we spoke to one of the desk managers, Chantal who immediately got the workers to stop the hammering. Darren at front desk was also helpful.

terrific experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/4/05
This is an absolutely gorgeous hotel and the service is outstanding. The staff always went out of their way to be helpful. The rooms are lovely and very clean, the pool is nice (if you want a tan go early afternoon!) with a great staff, business center, tea . . . very, very nice. It's a nice walk to the French Quarter - so you aren't in the middle of the frenzy, and an easy walk to the streetcar to get to the Garden District. We will definitely return.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/14/06
Excellent hotel, mini bar, party trays with fruit, beautiful pool. Comfortable and relaxing. Scons and happy hour to enjoy. Lots of fun, fun, fun. Nice from just about anything. I noticed the food wasn't as good as expected with the reputatuion of New Orleans cuisine.

Nicest Hotel in New Orleans
By Zach, 12/11/06
Staying in many hotels in New Orleans I found this to be the nicest with the best service. After the storm the hotel is still the nicest and is centrally located for whatever your trip may call for. The rooms were more spacious than others. The beds could use new mattresses unless you like sleeping on hard mattresses. Appliances in the Suite could use an update but they do not call for much use unless you plain on taking up residence there. The room service was what could be expected for the price. I didn't have much of a chance to try the food due to a kitchen fire and them only serving cold items but they still came through even though being understaffed. Overall the Stay was great,Service impeccable. Four blocks from Bourbon Street allowed for a nice walk or taxi ride there but once partying is over it is away from all the loud party goers that would wonder up and down halls all hours of the night keeping you from a nice nights sleep. Also for a suite (that is most apartment sizes) at $269.00 plus tax in the off season or no events going on was not a bad deal. Centrally Located it was great for families or business travel.

Best kept secret in N.O.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/14/08
Hold that brush Garland from TX, thats a dark over-exaggeration you're painting in saying that the MS and LA guest reviews are all negative! Like you, We too love this fine spot (I'm a MS native) & I noticed many MS & LA (Southern) reviews agree as well! This is even more a gem considering the usually lower price. Tip - pricing works like booking plane tickets, & telling them about the posted prices you see online. Negative people are fairly evenly spaced everywhere, not bunched up like you insinuated. Let them go get 10% more satisfaction at those places that cost 5 times the price! That may help ensure there is a room at the WCH for the rest of us when we want one... (:p) Another modestly priced gem to SEE - due to the unique gigantic murals painted on the walls, inside and outside, is "The Clarion" ( such as a @ 6+ story clarinet outside, & a drive thru check-in area that is unbelievable! )

fabulous
By Kacy, 5/16/05
I've only spent the night here once, but my parents stay here for their anniversary almost every year. It has such a wonderful atmosphere. High Tea is fantastic here as well (which I have enjoyed a few times). The service is unbeatable.

let's give New Orleans a break!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/29/07
I just returned today from my most recent stay in New Orleans at The Windsor Court. I'm amazed at the negative reviews from people in Louisiana and Mississippi regarding The Windsor Court. Have you people forgotten Katrina? The hotel is lovely, the staff is superb. Yes, there are some scratches and marks on some of the furniture, but the location is wonderful and the hotel is like having your own place in New Orleans. The city and the businesses in the city need our support and help--no one else is doing anything! So, go to New Orleans, stay at The Windsor Court, shop at Rubensteins and Saks, spend some money and do your part to make this city the jewel is should be.
