Nice Staff/ Comfortable Rooms
By GINGER, 4/16/12
I forgot my chi iron and curling iron at home, and you know what, the staff went out of there way and brought me a flat iron for my hair!!! I almost cried!!! I loved my stay here, I will come back. But if you can't afford this suite, then you better not make reservations!, Thay don't play about charging you for extra! PAY WITH CREDIT, NOT CASH! (deposit needed at check in) other than that, they have the best whirlpool tub ever!!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE REMINGTON!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/23/11
There is absolutely NOTHING to dislike about this facility. The staff is wonderful, especially Ann Jo Lee, Joe, Nancy & Logan!!! I love having a different experience in EVERY room. Each room is decorated differently and themed after a famous artists. Just gives you a surreal feeling of exquisiteness. The rooms are cleaned impeccably and the beds are so comfortable. There is no way that we can go back to the regular old Motel 6 or Super 8. Remington is our new home away from home. Too add frosting to my cupcake (they actually had delicious cupcakes and champagne for each guest to celebrate St. Patty's day) the pool/sauna/exercise area was so relaxing. We plan to use the spa packages when we come back next weekend too. We can't wait to see our friends at Remington soon! *waving at you guys from Little Rock, AR* :-)

How Rude Can You Be
By wes, 2/14/10
I like The romance of this place and past memories. What I Disliked was the Front Desk associate named Nancy Sweeney how rude and unprofessional can a employee be to a paying customer, a repeat paying customer at that, I doubt we will be back. If Nancy were a employee at my business she would not be employeed another minute, unbelieveable! The bathroom floor was filthy! Stains and burns in the carpet, and my comment card was not available in my room so I posted it.

A rare find!
By Charla, 6/25/07
We have stayed at the Remington twice while on business; we will stay there the next time we go to Shreveport area. The rooms are enormous with king-size beds and real wood furniture. The service was unbelievable and the staff was warm and friendly. We met clients in our "sitting room," completely closed off from the bedroom. It was nice not to have to rent a conference room. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet across the street at the University Club ... a private club, but your room "key" gets you in. You get delicious food for about $6. They serve lunch, too. Our room was nicer than what we normally get at the Embassy Suites and was less expensive. It's not a modern steel & glass high-rise; it's more of a home-style place and we enjoyed the comfort, as well as the convenient location.

It was very pleasant
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/23/06
I was in town for business and was recommended to the Remington by a colleague. I was greeted at the street by a bellman who carried my bags and showed me to the front desk. When I entered my room, I was impressed with the size of the room and the "at home" type of atmosphere. The only drawback that I noticed, which wasn't too bad, was the lighting. It could have been a little brighter. I understand that the hotel has new owners and is going through some major renovations and I can't wait to visit again to see the "facelift". The staff was very accommodating in anything that I needed and made excellent recommendations on local restaurants and "places to visit".

Definitely a return trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/23/06
My wife and I stayed there for several days while I was in Shreveport on business. We stayed in their "Monet" Suite on the second floor. Not only was the room perfect for us (large bedroom, sitting area for me do work while my wife relaxed in the living room) but the staff went over and above all our expectations. Although I was working on the other side of the city and my wife wanted to shop in Bossier, the staff really helped both of us get where we wanted to go when we needed to get there. We met and enjoyed breakfast with the new owner and can't wait to see the renovations when they are finished.

How is this place still in business?
By Ryan G, 5/18/06
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. THIS PLACE, ALONG WITH ITS MANAGEMENT, IS PURE TRASH!!!!My wife and I stayed in the 2 story suite that is shown in the pictures on their website for our honeymoon. We thought the room was ok, but it definitely needed remodeling, along with a new A/C unit. Worst of all, there is a bar right next door to the hotel that literally kept us up all night, that is until 3 a.m. when we decided we had enough and left. To make matters worse, my car, which was supposed to be in secure parking in their "secure" warehouse, was in fact parked on the street from 11:30 p.m. until we left.

Where is the nearest Motel 6?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/2/05
My wife and I stayed there one night because we thought that it would be a nice getaway. In fact, we were thinking the whole opposite when we settled into our room. Our window view was of an exquisite alley of Shreveport. We asked to be moved to a different room because of the overwhemling smell of mildew and mold. The front desk employee that evening told us that there were no other rooms available and was unable to do anything because the manager was busy and would give us a call the next morning. The bed needed to be changed many years ago so I don't recommend anyone who is looking for a good night sleep to spend there hard earned money on this place. We have stayed at many other hotels for a lesser price and have been completely satisfied and comparing our stay at this basement of a building they call a hotel is extemely ridiculous.

Would not visit again
When I woke up Saturday morning, the breakfast in the lobby consisted of expired Sunny Delight, boxes of cereal and a small refrigerator with a half-gallon of milk inside. That night, after a long day of traveling, I couldn't wait to get inside the wonderful whirlpool bathtub. Unfortunately, when I arrived at my room around 9 p.m., the entire second floor was booming and rattling because of a wedding reception. Inside my room, it was as if the radio was sitting on my bed at full blast. The bass was pounding in the walls and I could hear every lyric and every song. After repeated requests and complaints to the front desk, nothing happened. It wasn't until the cleaning crew left at 11 p.m. that the music was finally turned off. My advice: For the amount of money you'll spend here, go somewhere else.
