Clarion Inn and Suites Conference Center, Covington

WE ENJOYED OUR STAY ALTHOUGH THE ROOMS DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THE PICTURES. MAYBE AFTER THE REMODELING THEY WILL. THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN. THE REFRIGERATOR AND MICROWAVE WERE CLEAN AND WORKED. WILL STAY AGAIN.

Like most Holiday Inn's these days it was aged some,but otherwise nice. Carpet was somewhat dirty otherwise everything was ok. Was also going under renovations when we stayed there July 4th weekend. Not bad for the price,has a pretty cool swimming pool and hot tub too.

The room's carpet was dirty and the bathroom floor sticky. The blankets consisted of a thin cotton blanket between two sheets. The shower head was old and full of calcium and the shower curtain yellow from age. While we were there the shower head and curtain were updated to new modern ones. The room had a small refrigerator that had to be turned off at night to stop the noise. The air conditioner was also noisy. Washing the bathroom floor consisted of puting a washcloth on a pole and wiping the floor. Somedays the sink was not cleaned. The lighting was poor and we had to buy light blubs for the lamps. We stayed for one week for a wedding. One couple that was with our party, arrived at 11pm. and the crib that they request for their 4 months old baby was no where to be found. The staff informed them that if they wanted a crib they should had arrived earlier. The crib was promised when they booked their room. Also some in our party were in their late 70s and had requested outside ground floor rooms and this request was not honored. The employees tried their best,with what the had to work with. We will go to the Best Western next door when we return in December.

My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Covington one time. We were so pleased with the service, the kind folks and the professionalism of the staff and management, we now stay there everytime we visit Covington and New Orleans. We travel extensively between Tennessee and New Orleans so we have made Holiday Inn and Suites or permanent home away from home and have a suite with them on a long term basis. Good people, good manners and good service. Thank you Covington, Louisiana and thank you Holiday Inn and Suites of Covington. We stay there two weeks every month year round!!!!!! Holiday Inn in Covington was one of the most organized places I have stayed. Even though they, like everyone else in the area, were short staffed, they took great pride in making me feel welcome. The room service was exceptionally complete even to the point of organizing my computer/papers and bathroom items. Great great service. Okay...after all of the bragging, I have to say that I was disappointed in the fact that the restaurant wasn't open, but understand due to understaffing in the area.
