Alexander Fulton Hotel And Convention Center, Alexandria

This hotel is old, musty and in total need of a renovation. The linen on the beds are from 30 years ago. The carpets in the hotel are old and stained. The bathroom fixtures and flooring needs to be ripped out and replaced. There is no room service, restaurant or gift shop as listed. A big disappointment!!!!

the room wasn't clean. the elevators wasn't working. needs paint and cleaning upi the hotel. the staff was bad. there was mold in the hotel. there was a roach that was right behind the container in the breakfest room. the toliet had a ring around the bowl. thebathroom was dirty. the staff was rude and not nice. i wouldn't stay here again.

The rooms are really run down, the TV nor radio worked. I had to put a chair up against my door because it didn't fasten well. I can easily see why this place lost it's Holiday Inn accreditation. Breakfast was very over priced and not that much variety. At one time this probably had been a nice place to stay, but really needs up dating. Wouldn't stay there again!!!!

It looked like it had not been remodeled in 50 years. Would not walk on the carpet. Did not have a "clean" feel.

the only problem that i had was that it took 20 mins to check me in but it was understandable since there were around 15 people in front of me but i had an excellent stay. When go to this hotel make sure you check out josh and dana in the bar. They are some of the most knowledgeable bartenders that i have seen in a while and are very friendly and professional.!!

I really don�t know where to begin describing my experience at the Holiday Inn in Downtown Alexandria. It is extremely difficult for me to summarize an experience this aweful, but I will try. The customer service, if I can even call it that, was the worst I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Diane at the front desk was rude, unapologetic, and condescending. She was like this to just about everyone I spoke with in the same wedding party as myself. I don�t see how she still has a job. The hotel completely messed up my reservation. They were not apologetic or helpful in the least. Every time I asked for a manager�s assistance, they were always conveniently �not available�. This hotel has two elevators. One does not work at all and the other takes 10-15 minutes to reach your floor after pressing the button. My room was old and dirty. My allergies, which usually don�t act up, immediately began to after spending 10 minutes or so in my room. If you are visiting Alexandria and need to stay downtown, there are many more hotels to choose from 5 minutes away on I-49 North. The only redeeming quality of this hotel was the free wireless internet, but you will be able to find this just about anywhere. If you are considering the Holiday Inn in Downtown Alexandria as a hotel option, I highly advise staying elsewhere. You will regret it if you don�t.

Wonderful service, excellent location, very clean and comfortable. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. The whole experience was all a huge plus for Alexandria. Great location with many things to do. I highly recommend it to everyone!

We liked the convenience of getting to the hotel. Very easy to find. The food in the restaurant was very good.

I STAYED JULY 1,2005 THRU JULY 4,2005 & I"M DISABLED IN A WHEELCHAIR & REQUESTED A HANDICAP-ACCESSIBLE ROOM BUT DIDN'T GET ONE, MY HUSBAND HAD TO ASK FOR MORE TOWELS ,CLEAN SHEETS, NONE OF THE SOFT DRINK MACHINES WORKED! I"M HAVING TO GO BACK ON JULY 15TH THRU JULY 18TH DUE TO MY DAUGHTERS SOFTBALL & EVERYONE IS BOOKED! I WANTED A NON-SMOKING ROOM,HANDICAP ACCESSBLE BUT THEY SAID NONE WERE AVAIABLE, SO IF I GET HURT BECAUSE THEY CAN'T WORK WITH ME THEY WILL REGRET ON HOW THEY TREAT PEOPLE W/DISABILITIES! THE BROOMES
