It is the most wonderful Place, great hotel!!
By ,
One friendly and efficient place, the most convenient location. I'm full of admiration, the place is full of radiating contentment. I was congratulating myself on my good fortune with the reasonable rate, free internet, and a big screen tv. My room was so pleasant, clean and orderly. After my morning infusion of caffeine, I enjoyed the scrumptious breakfast that was included. The staff was very kind, they even gave me some generally smart advice on the places that are worth seeing. This hotel is a real treasure, I will stay there again when I do another cultural study, it's comfortable. It really is worth remembering to all of us from Europe who are choosy like myself!!:)

HORRIBLE PLACE TO STAY
By ,
This place should be shut down. No one should ever have to stay in such an awful. Dirty ,smelly, Mold every where, God only knows when the last time was that they changed the sheets on the bed. Need I say more, Ok clogged drains, dirty towels in the tub, with mold on them. We left an did not stay there. The staff which consisted of three people were very rude and did not care. Never stay at this place.

Never Again!
By ,
The location was excellent. It was right off I-10 and close to my favorite breakfast place, Cracker Barrel. With that said, the service was extremely poor. There are probably no words to express how bad it was. The staff refused to give us clean towels after the first night, saying people were stealing the towels. They did not change the bed linens or vaccuum the carpet. Anytime you went to the front desk they were too busy to help you. We were in town due to the Hurricane situation and it was next to impossible to find a place to stay. No wonder this facility had vacancies!

Price gouging Huricane Evacuees?
By ,
The Lafayette Daily Advertiser ran a story the day of Hurricane Katrina about the Inn not honoring $60 reservations but somehow having rooms available to walk-in customers for $80. Is this some mistake or did the Best Value Inn somehow think it did'nt have bookings durring an enormous hurricane evacuaiton?

Hotel Class? This is a Motel / Crack House
By ,
Durring our overall checkinn, Two young girls checked us in but seemed more intressted in talking on their cellphones, and listening to the radio. While standing on the other side of the desk, I noticed the young women working the computer was playing games on the internet. I ignored most of these signs, and went to my room after about 20 mins, that's how long it took them to check me in. I was stopped by several people along the way asking for cigrettes, or a dollar they could barrow. When we got to the room, it smelled as if something died in the room, we had asked for none smoking, they gave us smoking, we found the under side of the bed spread to be covered in blood, and the pillow had dried male fluids on it. We didn't bother complaining, and proceeded to leave the hotel imedately. I highly sugest this place be cleaned up or shut down.

NEVER AGAIN
By ,
first of all we asked for a smoking room, the room had no ashtrays. so we called and asked for one and the clerk said to use a paper cup because "I'm not responsible for housekeeping, I'm just a desk clerk". also, the tv was very fuzzy. we only stayed 10 minutes in room. very dissatisfied, especially since we had to return the following day since credit card was not given back to me.
