BEST WESTERN Chateau Suite Hotel, Shreveport

The room was not what I expected for the price I paid. It didn't seem to be very well taken care of. More disturbing is the fact that I am being accused of stealing an iron from the room that I never saw.. They charged my credit card without my knowledge. I did however leave behind a phone charger, that they claimed they never found. This has made me so upset. Not so much about the phone charger, but because i am being accused of stealing something. I will NEVER go back to this place and i would incourage you to stay away.

The bathroom was dirty the tub needed more caulking on it. The carpet had several big spots on them. For what you pay for it should have been cleaner and in better shape. There was not any water pressure in the shower. And the bathroom sink the water never did even get warm.

Had to come to Shreveport for Thanksgiving, which was not preplanned, however we decided to stay downtown, a hence landed at this hotel a little skeptical reading some bad reviews about the hotel, however to our great surprise, the hotel was the most pleasant stay with my family, the bar was very welcoming and me and my wife enjoyed the cocktails and next morning the breakfast was just awesome. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Lied about amount charged by front desk and then when I made it aware to the general manger (Mario Harper) no help what so ever. dont recommend or wouldn't ever recommend Best Western Chateau Suite Hotel to anyone.

You won't see this place unless your looking for it. We were booked at the Holiday Inn across the street but they lost our reservation. We were about to drive home when we decided to try the best western. dont be fooled by the outside. It looks kinda old but once you get inside its another story. beautiful lobby and huge staircase. The chandelier is exquiste and really sets the tone for the entire stay. Our room was just a simple single room but was suprisingly large. The breakfast was good but what made the stay was the staff. The front desk was so nice when we explained that the other hotel lost our reservation. They checked us in very fast and even explained the they have a driver that could take us to dinner. We are normally die hard Holiday Inn travelers but we will stay the the Chateau next time we travel to shreveport.

Just decided to jump in the car and go to one of the casino's but they were all booked so we ended up at the Best Western and were very pleased. We got a huge room, (it had a separate living room, bedroom and kitchen) for an awesome price. The breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly. The bar was very cozy and the free drink was great. We will definatley be staying here next time we visit.

Black mold on ceiling through out the room, food splashed on walls (this was the 1st suite #412). In the 2nd suite (#311) the wallpaper was peeling off the walls. The sheets and towels were frayed and had wear holes in them. Linens did not seem fresh. Mattress on sofa bed was dirty and thin. The only positive thing I can say is that the staff I dealt with were nice.

Do not stay at this hotel. This is a dishonorable and corrupt hotel. When my husband and I were about to check-out, they tried to bill us $15 for items missing from the mini-bar BEFORE we arrived, as shown on their documentation. The people are the front desk could not understand this concept and were very disrespectful when talking to us. They said that would have to ask the person who was over vending at the hotel. Of course their walkie-talkies were not working and they could not find the person on any of the floors. The manager was not in and would not return until after we left. I were there for a family reunion and every person I spoke with had some problem with checking in or out in terms of how and what they were charged. You only get one key and place is doesn’t look nice at all. Staying there isn’t worth a dime. Save your money and your sanity!

Our stay at this hotel was great. The Clerks and were very professional, neat, and well spoken. We were checked in our room without delay. I liked that the Hotel was very close to the board walk and casinos. Most of all we really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The only thing we disliked was there was no air-conditioning in the hallway and the elevators, also the old musty smell needs desperate attention. despite the lack of air-conditioning and the smell, I would definately stay at this hotel again.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for my friends wedding and it was a disaster from the start. We had to switch rooms because the pullout sofabed was in shambles; dirty, foam falling out, and the matress basically fell to the floor. Our next room wasnt any better; it was dirty, and the hairdryer in the bathroom was hanging by the cords and there was a hole in the wall from where it was coming off. The staff was rude, and not helpful at all. They advertise free breakfast buffet for their guests, and when we went down only 2 of us got to eat for free...and they were extremely rude about it. I do not recommend this hotel to ANYONE!
