Crowne Plaza Airport, Lafayette

Hotel looked nice, rooms very modern but looks can be deceiving. I stay there on the night of July 4th, 2011 and woke up at 2am with bedbugs eating me up. Killed at least 6 bedbugs that I saw and have more then 15 bites on by back and face. Management seem not to be to concern when I reported this. They at least gave me a different room. Beware of room 113 if you stay at this hotel.

I'd like to start out by saying the location is great, and the front staff has been great, however that's pretty much where the compliments end. On my first night I was greeted by a large cockroach on a bed and a dead crcket on the floor. The room must have been 85 degrees and the air conditioner struggled to cool it off. Then I turned on the tv, only to be greeted by static and snow. I called the front desk to report the problem and was told maintenance would come by to fix it, they had this problem earlier. An hour later I got a phone call that they wouldn't get to it that night, it would be the following day. Day 2 no maintenance never showed. Housekeeping did come in and strip the bed of the linens before 3pm. At 5 the beds still had not been made, nor had the room been cleaned or replenished. Multiple guests in other rooms had the same problem, and made multiple attempts to get housekeeping to bring up clean linens. Not until 7:30 that night did housekeeping arrive, and then proceeded to speak in their native tongue, which I found I found pretty rude. I would not recommend staying here, regardless of the price. Broken a/c and a south Louisiana summer do not go well together.

The price was great. The room was cleanliness was acceptable, however the floors could have been vaccumed a little better. The location was perfect for our needs. One thing about there location. I am always concerned about safety, and this hotel was in a safe part of town. The area contained an ample supply of restaurants and other services that a traveler may need. The staff was most attentive. When we first checked in our room and damage in the bathroom. Housekeeping was in the area, so I showed them the room. By the time I got back to the desk, housekeeping had already called the front desk, and I already had another room assigned to me. A few minutes later, management called my room and asked if everything was OK. That was the first time I had ever received a call like that at a hotel. I only stayed 1 night, but all through our stay, the staff was great. A wonderful stay.

I stayed for a business meeting and the hotel rooms are beautiful and clean. It's a new hotel and the staff is so kind.

AC not cold enough, staff was friendly, room smelled badly, not enough towels, breakfast...well, it looked nasty so I didn't try it. d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d dd

The only thing that is good about this hotel is that it's cheap. The service was terrible and the rooms were dirty. It rained while we were there and the roof in our room leaked and we were on THE FIRST FLOOR!!! The door locks didn't work very well--you had to know the trick to open them. The continental breakfast ran out of the dismal food they had quickly and the workers allowed the coffee pot to run frequently. Overall, terrible--find some place else. You get what you pay for!!!

The hotel is showing signs of age. AC in the room worked great, but the pool was closed, and that's one reason we selected it. It was very hot, stuffy in the lounge.

Our stay was really uneventful. We needed a room for one evening to visit friends and that is what we got. The front desk staff did their job. They weren't overly friendly, but not rude. The elevators at the back of the hotel are rediculously slow. The pool was not in working order, which was disapointing with the overwhelming heat. The room was clean, but there were not enough towels. If we had stayed for a longer period of time - I'm sure the results would have been different.

Like the price. Hate that they're booked about half the time I'm trying to find a room, as I'm passing through town. The pool was closed due to it being winter. They need an in door pool and spa open 24-7 (for adults coming in late)

We stayed here for 4 nights during Festival International and encountered numerous problems. The staff was usually helpful, but this hotel really needs a lot of maintenance. The alternate outside entrance doors have the electronic locks disabled because they are broken, so there is no security in the hotel. Anyone off the street can walk right in and down any of the many halls. It rained hard one day and our carpet got wet. We changed rooms 3 times and still never got the non-smoking king room we requested more than a month before when we made the reservation. And, the pool was out of service. I will not go back here unless this hotel undergoes a complete renovation.
