Amenities? "AIR CONDITIONING"?
(+) Liked the convenience of the Inn being close to St.Joseph hospital. It was satisfying, knowing that my father (in the Heart unit), felt a sigh of relief, knowing that we weren't going to be leaving him, and that we were close enough to get to him, if needed. Wouldn't you say that that in itself, is a great part of 'healing', with the knowing of your family being taken good care of, while you was having to stay in the hospital, especially out of town/state???
(-) AIR CONDITIONING???? NO, afraid not, and when clerks were asked about it, they brushed you off, with a simple reply, "Well, there's a Dollar Store just down the street, if you want any fans." The units in the rooms are very out-dated, and do NOT work. It was horrible trying to get just the few hours sleep you needed before having to go back to a long day at the hospital.
We had all family members to reserve rooms, from out of TN, OH, and other cities. ALL the rooms were the same, NO AIR!!
(-) NO swimming pool. Well let me retract that... there was a pool......just no water!!
Temperatures were in the high 80's-low 90's. Good day for swimming wouldn't ya think??
(-) TELEPHONES?? Yep, they were there, but when family members were trying to call in..but the desk attendents were always on the phone, and they couldn't get their calls thru! Oh, and...the lights on phones, showing you had messages did NOT work, either.
(-) BALCONY?? Rusted, grown over, very unsafe looking.
(-) When first arriving--we passed the motel, because we couldn't see the signs!! Too small...too low.
All-in-All, this motel really needs to be updated, starting from the ground up..would not recommend to anyone. There is a "Best-Western" right across the street, and "The Columbia House"... Go there!!
