not great but not THAT bad..
By dixieee, 10/04/09
I've stayed there for a week and can safely say it is O.K. The rate is really good and it included breakfast although don't expect much (bagels, donuts, juice and coffee). It is good though. Staff are not super but they're not mean either. I guess they're just not very well experienced about the place as I had some questions about the area like a public phone and transportation but they couldn't help. Well, at least the guy at the reception bothered to look in the yellow pages in an attempt to help. The room is not very clean. The beds, sheets and pillows are old but they're not bad. My major turn-off was the smell in the room AND the hotel. It is fall season so it gets pretty chilli at night so whenever I came back there was a NASTY smell in the hotel's lobby and corridors. I think it was coming from the heater and carpets so they should definitely do something about that.

Never experenced anything like it.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/20/09
I have never experenced anything like it. There is no service there. I stayed there a week and could not get them to vacuum the carpet. I even ask if I could borrow their vacuum since it is theie policy to clean only once a week for weekly guest. I was told that it couldn't be done. When I ask for a phone book to be sent up to the room I was told that if my room didn't have one then I needed to come to front desk to use theirs. I had to go to the drugstore down the road to buy toilet paper. I guess we used more that the alotted amount. There was no coffee or filters. I had to beg to get clean towels. When my daughter droped something behind the couch I found food and other trash under it. People just threw all their trash out of the enterence by the vending machines. This place has got to be the dirtiest place I have ever stayed and I will never go back. I hope this helps.

NO TOILET PAPER!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/24/08
First of all this place was sooo nasty that me and my friend went to the Dollar Store to get cleaning stuff to clean the bathroom and spray Lysol on the beds. We called the front desk and asked for more toilet paper and the clerk said they were OUT of toilet paper!!!! While we were cleaning we found a porno DVD stuck under the lamp by the bed. After that we packed up our stuff and went to the front desk and told them we wanted our money back. They apologized and we left. What a terrible experience!!!!

JUST SAY NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By Windstorm, 04/08/08
This place has absolutely NO guest services basically. They close the Lobby at 11Pm and do not open until 10:30am on Sundays! No coffee in the roomos and none in the lobby, no one available to take calls or questions or requests. I was billed not only for my room but also for the room they had made my reservation for and had to change as it was already occupied by a person staying a WEEK! The bathtub looked to be 40 years old! Creepy people were hanging out by the entry way! Just say NO NO NO!!!! Cause you can bet I will Never stay there again!

Will NOT be back!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/18/07
The only way we even had a room was because I had my confirmation number as they cancelled my reservation! The room was definately NOT a 3 star hotel room. The carpet was NASTY & the sheets threadbare. And to top it off they had an adult channel that we had no knowledge was not a restricted site. If my grandchild had seen the channel I would have been incensed. It was bad enough that in channel surfing we adults had to see that. There were also a lot of kids (& some adults) hanging out outside the exterior doors - did not feel safe at all. Not a good experience!! Will NOT be back.

Great Location-Staff? What staff?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/01/05
Holiday Inn always put much effort into guest satisfaction and also into everything they did. When you stay at a privately owned hotel such as this you pretty much are at their mercy. I was unhappy. I had some issues with someone not making the key for the right amount of days so needless to say I had a lot of walking to do. It's not that it bothers me, but what bothered me is the fact I could not get someone to come to the desk! I guess they don't have much to do so they disappear and leave you wondering if someone works there! I came in and out one evening and for over an hour, almost two hours I saw no person standing at the desk. The bar is nice, I admit. They people that work in the bar are nice and the prices are good. My neighbors in the hotel cause trouble and this hotel is trouble. Good job on fixing the pot holes but there are deeper problems that need to be taken care of.

Best deal in town
By Joshua, 11/07/05
For an older hotel, this place was nice! It's got a very small staff, so the place does like a little 'tired', but for a cheap nite's stay I couldn't beat the deal I got here. For less than $50/night I got a room bigger than most franchise hotels with a full-size refrigerator and microwave, and there was a wonderful Mexican restaurant on property as well. The restaurant was just opened a week or so, so their staff seemed a little lost, but the food was delicious- and cheap! This is an extended stay hotel with even better deal if you're staying a month or more. I've only been for a night or 2 at a time, but stay there whenever I'm in the Northern Ky/Cincinnati area.
