Super 8 Motel, Leavenworth

we walked into the room, it stunk so bad we had to go get air fresheners and frebreeze. the beds were disgusting, thank god we brought our own sheets because i would have never slept on theirs. my 23 month old granddaughter took the coffee pot off the base and said it was yucky. the air conditioner or something leaked and the carpet was soaking wet the whole stay. the mattresses were dirty, the shower was nasty, there was something under the sink on the floor which they didn't clean. we booked this hotel because the place looked nice in the pictures and it had a pool(which they said was a heated pool, NOT) , well we got to use it one evening bcause they closed it and no one could use it. the first night there a room 2 doors down must have had a serious leak, to fix the problem they brought lots of towels and a big fan that never shut off the rest of our stay and as we were leaving the same towels and the fan were still on blowing directly towards our room, the smell was horrific. when i mentioned these things to the desk person, his only comment was "ok", i really don't think he totally understood me at all. i will NEVER stay at this hotel or recommend it to anyone not even people i dislike. i will post pictures of the "real" hotel and you make up your mind, i don't know if kansas has a board of health but they seriously need to go there and shut them down. and their continental breakfast consisted of coffee and 1 kind of cereal, what a deal. now i understand why they have a no cancellation policy, because if i could have left there and gone to another hotel i would have, but i didn't have the funds to do that. the microwave worked but the tray was not the right one for that microwave so it kept banging around inside the microwave. the hairdryer had so much fuzz and dust in it, it's a fire waiting to happen. don't know who they have clean but maybe they should really think of hiring new people. we left the do not disturb sign up but they still came into the room apparently they don't know what the sign means on the door. i have alot of pictures but this does not allow me to post them, so u can see for yourself. i guess the people running the place don't really care once they get your money, and when you try to explain why you didn't enjoy your stay they reply with "ok", what does that mean???? I will NEVER recommend this motel to anyone!

The lady on evening shift was very nice and courteous. Not all desk clerks are. Room was clean,$68 for two of us,pool and hot tub(spa) were clean and chlorinated. Great place on a cold Dec. evening! Only found one baby cockroach on the sink! I've seen worse.

When I checked out I told the person "L" that I had seen cockroaches in my room, she said "they said they sprayed that room" and when I got my bill it was $5 per day over the quote I had received over the phone the Friday before and also the rate placed on the web site. There was a clothes hanger behind the dresser where I had to plug in my lap top and a piece of candy behind the lamp stand, no wonder there are cockroaches there.

THIS IS A HORIBLE HOTEL WATEVR YOU DO DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE! There was hair in the towels, air conditioner did not work, nasty looking spa. I was scared to get into the beds. They didnt have up to date phone books, and tons of rust in teh bathroom and also there was a fowl odor in the room...

While working for one of the state agencies I stayed at this motel. I worked until late each evening and left fairly early most days. We had the room for approx 45 days. When I called to check in I needed to start an extra day early which was not a problem although there is a definite lanuage barrier with the desk operator and I was to stay with my last nights stay to be on November the 4th. When I got to my room on that evening I found all my belongings gone, all toiletries, food, drink etc. I then checked at the desk and they informed me I had checked out earlier that day. I told them of my talk with the desk operator and they were no help at all and had no explanation as to my belongings. It was almost 1 AM and I ask if I could stay the night and they would not allow me to stay or add another night onto the bill of the agency, although I had been in the room and knew it was empty. I had to drive 4 hours home after working 16 hours, because they would not try to help or make it right. There answer was there is nothing I can do to help. I would anyone looking at this motel to think twice and beable to speak several languages before staying here.

we've used this motel before, but never again. everything about this motel has gone down since our last stay. the whole motel is dirty, bare wood bracing the air conditioner. you could actually see daylight in the crack between the air conditioner and wall. we rented three rooms the toilets didn't work in two. the shower heads didn't work in any of the rooms. the tub units were stained and yellow. very sad, this used to be a nice place.
