Candlelight Inn, Topeka

Although the price was affordable, and breakfast was included, the entire complex has been sadly neglected. The room was shabby and hadn't been cleaned well. The carpet was coming up and the room smelled of mildew. The exterior was just as bad, with litter all over the parking lot and a playground and pool area destined to give someone tetanus. The only reason I rank this place as a 2 overall is that the staff was very helpful and friendly, and seemed resigned to the fact that they had to work in a much less than ideal environment.
