Clarion Hotel And Convention Center Cedar Rapids, Cedar Rapids

We were there for a wedding reception. I have to say that I was Impressed with everything. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the food was great! The kids didn't get bored, because the pool area was large enough that I could actually sit and visit with others while the kids swam. I loved the sauna. After driving for 5 hours I was able to relax in the whirlpool and then sit in the sauna. I didn't have to worry about breakfast for the kids, because it came with the room. My little one loved that I could make waffles for him and my 15 year old daughter said that the fresh fruit was delicious. And I could eat my yogurt without having to bring it with me. Usually full service hotels don't offer breakfast and if they do you have to pay a premium. It was a happy surprise to discover that it was included. And when the kids got tired at the reception, we could just send them upstairs to the room and my husband and I got to actually have time to ourselves! Wonderful! Thank you Clarion Cedar Rapids. I will recommend you again and again.

the lampshades had burn marks from the lightblubs. many stains on the chair. the carpet had faded and pulling apart. the sink was cracking. there was dirt in every corner. the elevator was dark and dirty

This hotel is obviously older then most hotels in the area, however it's hard to tell with all the wonderful renovations they have done. The staff is wonderful and more then willing to 'go the extra mile' to make your stay enjoyable...we had a great stay and will recommend this hotel to our family and friends.

The salad bar was great but the rest of the food was terrible. Not done the way we ordered, the butter had been in the refrigerator for weeks and tasted that way, but the waitress was unique and funny. I would not eat there again for the money. Do not eat at this restaurant!!!!!

My husband and I stayed at the Clarion from Dec 26 to the 29th we were given a upgraded room we thought everything was great till the 5th of Jan we noticed a bill from the Clarion for 367.50. they said we had burned one of there chairs we argued back and forth they were plain rude to us. We are still fighting them for our money so be careful if you stay here make sure you dont get billed for someone else!We will never stay there again!!

I had been to this hotel several years ago when it was a Sheraton Hotel. It was great then. I wasn't sure what to expect before I walked in, because it is now a Clarion Hotel. I was impressed with what I saw. The lobby had been completely remodeled, was very modern, bright and welcoming. It is an older establishment, but it is as clean as it was the day it opened, I'm sure. The housekeeping staff is obviously meticulous. The front desk staff was very accommodating and friendly. I also enjoyed their new sports bar...a great place to grab a drink and watch the game with other hotel guests and local people. A+++

Several hotels have a great staff, but the employees at the Clarion Hotel in Cedar Rapids, Iowa went above and beyond the call of duty! In addition to being very welcoming and friendly, the front desk staff has the honesty of a saint! Upon checkout I paid cash. I had several $100 bills in an envelope. I paid my bill and accidentally left the envelope on the front desk when I departed! Too much luggage and thinking about a presentation I had to give that afternoon...I managed to forget the envelope. The hotel did not have my phone number, but they knew which company I was in town to work with. They quickly called the company, let them know I had left $300 in cash at the front desk, and they arranged to get my money back to me very quickly. PHENOMENAL! An amazing staff....and the property is great, too!

Big clean rooms. Nice sports bar.... Great location.... A bit pricey....
