You pay for the location which is superior by the way. Internet not included in price. Concierge reccommended the hotel revolving restaurant. I figured I'd pay more for the view and just get average food like my room ( it was out dated). She also suggested the Skyline restaurant where THEY (not the hotel) offered me free internt, excellent service, excellent view and very good food. The staff was very friendly. I found out later they are in the process of updating rooms (way overdue). I didn't find out until after I checked out that an upgrade was available to cover the internet and overpriced breakfast.

nothing but a room!
By nadia, 2/3/09
I booked this hotel while here on business i decided to stay a different hotel each week to get an idea of what was worth my money since i will be in the area on business frequently needless to say i wont waste my firms money here again all that was included in the hotel price was the pool and fitness area which you must walk across the lobby to get to from the room areas. there is a $1 charge for toll free calls they block all of the free wi fi connection from the area and charg $6 for every 15 minutes of internet use If you want your linens changed you must ASK! they convieniently left a note informing of this policy on top of the catalog they left if u want to purchase any of the room decor LOL The room was nice but compared to other places in the area I wouldnt even say i paid for location here because there are ton of hotels connected to the same mall as this one that u can get way more for the money especially hotel amenties that are included in the room fee!

Not Worth the Price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/3/09
First, they put us in a double room when we had reserved a king. We called down and they promised to send someone to get us into another room. After waiting 45 minutes we went down to the lobby to get our correct room. The hallway had dishes and clothing left in the hallway during our entire stay including dishes left in front of our door from the previous guest. The hallway was in bad need of vacuuming. We changed our dinner reservations since to leave and re-park in the lot was exorbitant. We will try the Westin, Canterbury, or Hilton the next time we stay in downtown Indy.

Friendly, Clean, Convenient and a little confusing
By kd, 9/2/08
They kind of pushed us to the self check in because they were busy. There are no signs so you don't know what is what when you walk in. There was a problem so we lost our spot and had to get back in line at the desk. The clerk was not real friendly, but she did her job professionally. The older lady that tried to help us check in was very nice and informative and that's probably because later we found out she was the concierge. Very professional and had a ton of information for us. The bellman that had been there for a while and was involved with his church was as well professional and informative. The room was clean, but there was only one set of towels. We called and had them within minutes. The hotel was connected to the convention center AND the mall. There are tons of places to eat around the hotel. Don't bother with a car unless you have to go far away from town. We used a share ride to get from the airport to the hotel. Indianapolis has a lot to offer. The hotel stood by their Hyatt name and I would highly reccommend it to anyone.

Quite Handy!!
By jean, 12/20/07
Stayed here Dec. '07 with 6 girlfriends & had a fine time. Hotel is close to shopping without even going outside!! Close to Weber Grill which was excellent. Elevator view is fabulous & all personnel were very friendly. Room could have been cleaned a little better, but adequate for price. Will go back.

Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/1/07
When I reserved the room I was excited, as I was able to tell you that we were honeymooners. We found that the hotel itself was beautiful and the staff were very helpful and polite, however, when we got to our room, I was disappointed. There were no snack items in the room, nothing in the mini-fridge, nothing that resembled that you took the time to acknowledge that we were there for a romantic evening. Then I saw something white that was dried on the edge of our overlay cover on our bed!!! We called to get it replaced and we were given something that didn't go with the room and was of poor quality. There were no drinking glasses in the sink and no extra towels. When people arrive from their trip, they probably want to shower and then again in the morning. There should be enough towels to get through a few showers. We were suppose to have breakfast included in our package...no information was given on this at all...so we went to McDonalds on our way home. We love Indy, but will probably stay at a different hotel next time....our experience was not worth $254. Disappointed.

Wonderful hotel for our wedding night.
I really enjoyed staying at the Hyatt. It was beautiful. When we arrived there, we found out that the room we had reserved ended up being double booked but we did get an even better room for a much cheaper rate. They did very well accomodating us. We couldn't have stayed at a better place for our wedding night. We will go back again soon!
