The Drake, Chicago

the hotel was great. the room was great. the food was great. the service was great. i would stay here again.

The rooms were all marble it was beautiful. Great service and great for a buissness trip Stay or Even Traveling! Its also in a great locatation near navy peir!

The Drake Hotel is Chicago's best-kept secret. It's the poshest hotel, with the best view. Top-notch service, a great place to get married, chocolates on the pillow, terry robes in the closet. It's awesome. Wonderful hard-working staff. But the reason I adore the Drake, and always took people from out of town here is the Sunday brunch menu. It's the best in town. Everything from foie gras to chicken to luscious dessserts, three tables laden with all types of food, sure to please even the most discriminating palate. Another extra special note that the Drake started, though many hotels in town are now following suit is the afternoon tea service. You sit in lush padded chairs and couches, a string quartet plays, fountains stream and you are served traditional tea. Scones, sandwiches, your choice of tea. It's a relaxing way to unwind after hectic shopping at the nearby Magnificent Mile. Many celebrities stay here because of the discretion of the staff, but townies know it as the place that Princess Diana always stayed when she was in Chicago.

Don't get me wrong -- the views from the Drake are amazing, looking right out over the lake. But the rooms make you feel like you're in a time capsule. Teeny bathrooms, old decorations. This hotel could shine again if they'd just update the interior. If you want a luxury stay, stay somewhere else.

I love the Manhattans in the bar and sipping tea on a Sunday afternoon while listening to the harpist.

The rom was graet and so was the surronding areas.

It's very classy and sophisticated. The price may be high but you really pay for the brandname. The beds are okay. The rooms are decent sizes. I think the lobby area is the best attraction for this place where people can hang out.

I love the location, their service, the rooms, the restaurant. What I have complains is the high price. I would suggest them to have specials for people who want to stay there but could not afford the regular rate. This way they could fill up their hotel as well. They could also attract people to their hotel just to check the rooms and facility. There are lots of people who do not know such a beauty exists in Chicago by Michigan Ave.

I loved the ambiance, it is a very romantic hotel ... customer service was superb, the food was exquisite, the concierge was remarkable ... the room was beautiful with a gorgeous view

I like the hotel because is clean and chicago is romantic city. the people are nice and good in accomodation. We can't wait to go back and visit the romatic place on earth. the room service was not bad.
