The decor was very, very nice. Courteous and friendly personel everywhere. Clean rooms and we loved the layout of the room we were in. The onsite restaurant had great food. Pool was only 3ft deep through out but still, it was a pool and we enjoyed it. Would stay again!!
This hotel has the best of everything. When I arrived, I was tired and ready for a good night's sleep - the bed's were wonderful! When I woke up, I was hungry and the breakfast was a delightful start to my day! The staff seemed to be excited that I was staying there - a smile around every corner! 2 thumbs up for the Hampton Inn located in Freeport Il.
I remember this hotel was a historic property, but a tired hotel. Whoever bought it and rebuilt it as a Hampton Inn by Hilton Hotel did an amazing job.
The hotel rooms are some of the most comfortable and spacious I have stayed at. It actually is better than about 90% of the Westins, Marriotts and other 'luxury brands' I stay at. The all white bedding and mattress is so comfortable, we didn't want to get out of bed in the morning (we just watched movies in the room).
The staff is also amazingly friendly. I don't know if it is a Freeport thing, or just this hotel, but they really took care of us.
The rooms were also amazingly clean. I could eat off the floor.
When we come back, we are definitely staying here. It is a nice getaway from Chicago.
Everything about this place was absolutely fantastic. Whoever renovated it did a bang-up job. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous, and the rooms are even better! The bed was very comfortable, the shower was clean (unlike other hotels i've stayed at in freeport) and the front desk clerks were all very friendly and helpful.
