Terrible hotel. Period.
Stayed for a conference. The conference was great, but that's a result of the organization. The hotel meeting space is acceptable, it's the rooms and such I rate so low.
First, very limited concierge service, and despite no one available, will not loan out luggage carts. They want a tip, even if you have to wait 45 minutes to get service.
Parking is great, except that they have half the lot blocked off and you can get stuck dead-ending in two of the lanes.
Staff was rude, non-helpful and worst part...though they have nice escalators, they have check in and registration on the SECOND FLOOR with a ton of room on the first floor unused.
Rooms smoky. Sheets and comforters and blankets unclean and stained. Bathrooms great, but you have to beg for towels. Housekeeping is very late and insufficient. Rooms are small, beds are uncomfortable and hard to sleep two adults without discomfort.
Trash wasn't emptied until we finally piled it at the door to make it obvious. Three cans worth.
And come on...$44.95 per week or $10 per day for high speed internet? You have got to be kidding. This is a convention center. Ninety percent of the people who stay are there on business. I can drive to Drury Inn and stay cheaper with more.
Business center has two computers and screens are in front of wide-open windows, no privacy, teenagers EVERYWHERE in the computer room on My Space. No way to get things done.
I know I'm being harsh. But I've stayed at tons of convention centers and conference sites and this was by far, the worst of all-time. I brought my kids and they were miserable.
