Noisy Rooms
By BrienneS, 8/15/09
There is a really nice lounge and the restaurant food is excellent, no more overpriced than any other hotel restaurant. However, the room is not the least bit quiet, despite their claim on the website that the rooms are 'soundproofed'. There was a door in my room that led into the room next to mine (it was locked, but I think it was for people in groups who ordered multiple rooms). The door let in so much noise that even at the opposite end of the room from the door, I could easily hear the entire conversation of the people in the next room. You also need to switch elevators halfway up the building. If the hotel was cheap I might not hold it against them, but for the price I paid, I shouldn't have to overhear every word my neighbors say.

great location with a bargain price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/9/09
This hotel was perfect for our three night stay. We could walk to all the sights. The rooms were clean and they arranged for adjoining rooms for the five of us before I even asked for them. The view from our room was great. No real issue with it being on the 15th floor. Parking was easily accessible. We got an AMAZING price so that was the icing on the cake. We would definitely go back ourselves as well as recommend it to our friends.

Needs a facelift
By Lauren, 11/13/08
The location, views and access to CTA station and shopping are all good, which is what they advertise, but this hotel is in desperate need of a facelift. The decor is extremely dated, the beds small and uncomfortable and the bathroom dingy. The staff were helpful and friendly, but the food is overpriced (Denny's quality and service for breakfast at five star room service prices). It's an "efficient" hotel, but nothing spectacular, especially in the middle of downtown Chicago. If you're looking for a view, book it. If you are looking for elegance, stay away.

Great family Hotel
By DA, 8/28/08
My daughter, two grandchildren and I stayed 1 night. We were in town for a White Sox game. Easy walk from the Amtrak station. Kids loved the pool; nice that it is indoors. We had a spectacular view. Arrived quite early and a room was ready for us. How nice. The staff are outstanding, so friendly. We did not want to spend too much for food. We discovered the Food Court at the Merchandise Mart where there was something for everyone. We are returning next summer for a Cubs game and plan to stay here. We thought it unusual that the hotel is on top of another building. It added to the charm of our stay, sort of a city charm I'd say. A bit confusing at first, but we felt like seasoned travelers when we figured it out. The room is reasonably sized and priced for a family of four. A very satisfying stay.

I loved my view
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/5/07
The view and people were wonderful. The buffet was great, possibly could use a bit more of a variety. Late night check in went well except for waiting for bell service for over 1/2 in the lobby and never arriving.

Excellent Hotel!
By Apple Blossom, 2/25/07
This was my first trip and stay in Chicago, IL. I absolutely loved this hotel. Beautiful, close by, walking distance to many well known locations and otherwise, only $5 and under taxi ride to many many places...Union Station Amtrak, Art Institute, Water Tower Place.... We at first got a room with NO view...and the floor was soaked wet. They immediately moved us to a clean room and one with a beautiful view. The room service and hotel resteraunt was absolutely amazing! GREAT A+++ service and food! I would definitely stay here and reccommend it to others. We paid in advance within one week of staying and got a great rate of $100 a night. The room was clean, nice, roomy, spacious bathroom. The pool was nice and clean area.

Great City and Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/30/06
This hotel had a great location. The El was just across the street and you could walk to quite a few nice restaurants like Harry Caray's and The Billy Goat Tavern, where you can get a Cheeburger with chips, and a Coke no Pepsi!
