Days Inn Alsip, Alsip

If you dont want bed bugs dont stay here I have spent over $300.00 on getting rid of then sence I got home.

Rooms open to the parking lot, as a result the odor of the musty room and the chemical smell of the seal coat from the parking area, made our stay very unpleasant. The work being done outside the room caused the bug population to move inside our room. This was my second stay at a Days Inn...Never again! I rented two rooms,due to a death in the family, and the condition of the room was totally unsatisfactory! Due to the late hour of our return to the room, I didn't say anything to management..The next morning I took photographs of the room, when natural daylight was coming through the window..These photos are enough to turn anyone off! The carpet was buckeled and dirty and an opening of about two inches under the door caused the carpet to be damp from outside moisture. Anyone with an allergy to mold would not have been able to stay in this room. Days Inn needs to step up their standards..The small discount was not enough compensation for the humiliation I felt with my family members that were my guests. It was up to me to acquire these rooms, since everyone else was from out of town...Due to the fact that we were just staying overnight, I didn't have time to shop around and look at the rooms ahead of time. My advise to anyone, do not stay at the Days Inn in Alsip.. Doubletree is a much better choice at a slightly higher room rate..Plan ahead if you can, is my advise to you..

I liked the fact that I stayed for free for two nights with my Wynham Rewards points, the adequate room, the adequate location, and the okay breakfast. They had a little coffee maker in the room. This is a basic place, but it was, once again, adequate. Also, there's a public boat launch just down the street, for those into that type of recreation. I did not like the somewhat tattered appearance, but it wasn't really that bad, just not sparkling. There isn't really anything close by as it's in an industrial, warehouse district. But, there is a hotel next door with a bar and restaurant inside. RJT

The room would have been nice if it were clean. the bathroom was also dirty, the tile and shower surround were in need of repair. The door did not seal and there was a cold draft coming in the door. so we had to run the heat on high to keep the room comfortable. Then in the morning, we left to run to the drug store over an hour before check out & returned to find our room keys no longer worked. The front desk said house keeping told them we'd left & to clear the key. hen we did get back into the room, a wallet was missing but the other 2 bags we'd left were still there. Of course the staff claimed "nobody had entered our room" and the head of house keeping said they didn't say to clear the keys but that they were "Having trouble with all of the keys that morning" even though the front desk said otherwise. Was a good location & would have been a good Value if not for the "vanishing wallet"

Horrible service. We had to wait and wait and wait for a crib that was suppised to already be in the room when we arrived. When we asked a second time for it they front desk said they had to get it out of a storage shed. Then that employee was off for the night and never got it. We had to call agin and that employee knew nothing about it. There were many, many problems.

Me my mom and my sister had a emergency overnight stay and it was the WORST experiance of our life!!! We went into the room to our surprise the sink was outside the bathroom!!! The tile in the bath room around the tub was coming apart, the toilet looked like a public toilet that wasn't cleaned for months!! My mother called to see if they could clean her room, they said they were off duty.She had to beg for cleaning solution to clean it herself! And that was just to clean the toilet! The next morning we had found a bug in the bed!!! And the continential breakfast was so horrible I called it "Table Scraps" they had little pieces of food cut up on one tray. We had to eat breakfast at a Dunkin Doughnuts! If you have to stay in alsip IL DO NOT stay here!!!!!!!!!

The room was not as promised. I asked for a King smoking and received a room with two full sized beds. The only internet was in the lobby area. The desk personnel was inexperienced and inept and I was double charged with two different amounts for the room. I am dissatistied with the entire experience. The room door did not seal well and the winter wind whistled through all night and the room temperature was hard to regulate.

The hotel was easy to find from the highway. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The room was quiet. The bathroom was a little old looking, with a little disrepair in the tub, but the shower was forceful. And, best of all, the price was even less than we'd anticipated when we booked online! It was a good value, and we'd stay there again.
