Rodeway Inn of Glen Ellyn, Glen Ellyn

I do not even know where to start. We had to wait for 20 minutes until someone showed up at the front desk to check-in. When we walked into the stairwell it smelled of cat pee and rotten food. When we got to the non-smoking room it smelled of cigarettes and had an ashtray on the nightstand. There was mold in the shower, a pair of underwear between the dresser and wardrobe. Stains on the mattress and sheets. Every night we had to get our keys reactivated after hunting down someone for the front desk. There was no wi-fi and did not see any breakfast. Absolutely disgusting. We should have slept in the car.

The parking lot is horrible with all sorts of deep pot holes. Handicapped parking was all used by other cars without stickers. Two bags of garbage left in room behind tv set. Shower area was covered with black mold. Second day our beds were not made and room was was not cleaned. We were only given two fresh towels. And our tv didn't work. I had called for a first floor room and the desk said I never called. If I didn't call, how did I get a confirmation number? I don't lie!!!!Our stay was terrible and I will never stay there again.

I booked this hotel because of the price. Upon arrival, I realized why it was cheaper than anything else in the area. The rooms (I booked two separate rooms)were dirty, smelled and have not been remodeled since the early 80's. One of the coffeemakers did not work. There was a hole in one of the doors. There was a burn in the carpet from the iron. Both of the rooms were suppose to be non-smoking, but there were ashtrays in both of the rooms and they smelled horribly of old stale smoke. I asked for an extra pillow and was told "no". What motel does not have extra pillows? The continental brekfeast was suppose to be going until 10 am, but when we went it was 9:00 am and it was all gone. They do not restock to make sure that their guest are taken care of. I highly advise spending the extra money and go somewhere else.

The place was dirty, falling apart, holes in the doors! No one there spoke English well. We felt we were in a foriegn country. Then to make matters worse - they have charged our credit card TWICE!! This matter is still not resolved!!
