For $57, Really a very nice hotel!!
By R, 09/21/09
We were very surprised at how nice this hotel was. From the minute we walked into the lovely lobby passed the coi pond and atrium, to our room with the amazing view! Yes the rooms are dated but they are very clean. The bathrooms are new and the service is fantastic. They have a great pool even a hair salon that gave my husband a great $10 haircut. Window air conditioner kept the room cool. Had a little kitchenette so we were able to buy and keep food and leftovers to save on meals. Great value, we would definitely stay there again.

spent six weeks here
By Jeff, 06/21/09
Stayed here for six weeks and enjoyed my stay. The room while small was clean. The staff was always helpful, and it was close to the beach. The rate seemed a bit high but probably reasonable for the area. The elevators were below standard but the on site laundry room was appreciated.

not as seen in pictures
By Roscoe, 04/10/09
the room and bathroom were very small. there was no way two people could get ready at the same time. The complimentary breakfast was a muffin and juice. The hotel not one that I will go back to in the future. Very disappointing. Not to mention that at least one elevator was out of order daily. Oh yeah, we also had to pay $18/day to park in the hotel ramp.

Would stay here again
By MICHAEL S, 03/24/09
It is very laid back on Oahu,so leave your impatience at home. This was a nice hotel with courteous staff, clean rooms and very good location. Expect to wait on the elevators and I think you'll be ok.

Good value for your money
By WalterS, 02/14/09
Pros: exceptionally clean rooms, great room service, close to park, beach and everything in Waikiki Beach, great prices if you know how to get it (make sure you ask for a free upgrade). Decent restaurant downstairs. ABC stores (Convenience stores with plenty of snacks, drinks, TV dinners etc.) across the street and another just a few steps away on Kuhio Ave. (Ask for a room with microwave, if you need one. Not all rooms have one) Cons: too few and very slow elevators, expensive parking (there's really no need for a car in Waikiki Beach). Free breakfast is only a muffin and a choice of coffee or juice. Free wi-fi internet in lobby only was out of service 3 days out of 8 days of my stay. Paid internet in room had an unacceptably weak signal.

Good Deal
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/19/08
The price was good. It was good to have a coffee maker and iron/ironing board in the room. The room was a little small, but good enough as I just needed a place to stay overnight. The parking is a little high at $18/day, but there was ample parking, which is self-parking. The most negative aspect is that the elvators are small and slow.

it was ok
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/17/08
I recently stayed there for over a month on a business trip. The room was very clean and was cleaned every day. The staff was very good and friendly. It was close to several good restaurants and stores. Not too far a walk to the beach. A good restaurant was on site. A Dollar car rental office was only a couple of blocks away. The rate was just over $100.00 a day all taxes included. It seemed a little hight but I don't know how much better price could have been found. The parking garage was I think $18.00 a day even for guests. The elevators were not the best but not as bad as I had read. The bottom line is I would stay there again if I were to return.

Waikiki Value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/26/08
This is definitely a reliable bargain for those who want the Waikiki beach experience without paying outrageous prices. The service at the Castle Maile Sky Court was good. The front office staff was friendly and very helpful in finding places for meals and directions. The room was relatively comfortable with a small fridge and a coffee maker. Having stayed at a resort hotel in Waikiki before, the Castle Maile Sky Court is a good hotel. The location is close and within walking distance to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Vit's Hawaiian Steakhouse on the premises serves good food at reasonable prices.

Worst service I have ever had
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/31/07
We had trouble with this hotel from the time we booked it. We were told that the hotel could not accomodate us so we booked at another hotel for the same night, then this hotel said they could now accomodate us. We tried to cancel the reservation. They refused to cancel and advised us we would have to pay for the entire stay for two rooms. I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone for the way they conduct their business!

Expact not too much...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/21/07
We staied in MSC for 17 days and had average expearence of it.The most what we liked was the HUGE jacuzzy next to the pool(we never sow such hotel jacuzzy size before),it looked like a small sweeming pool and we are VERY happy of it!The stuff is very pleasant especially the security, because we got much help of them.It is another subject why this hotel is average...The walls are very thing and you can easily hear through them almost every word even during the day what people in the other room are speaking about.Sorry, but you can even hear every time when somebody flashes the toilet or taking a bath in the other room and we always were loughing about that...!But,of course, your own situation will depend ONLY from how lucky you are.It means or no somebody will be in the closest rooms or they are REALLY quaiet!Especially sometimes it gets EXSTREMELY BAD during the night when some drunk neighbors or japaneese people(who ussually don't whant to sleep at our night time and who are always VERY bold)start to yell or at least to turn the TV on very loud, but some Americans are the same way...So,we were not going to stand that at all and to not sleep all the night that to feel all the next day like monsters...Each time when somebody didn't give us to sleep or woke us up during the night we called to the front desk right away for the security help and just in 1 minute we could hear how they knocked that other door and told them how they should behave...;) Don,t expect, please, that your room would be REALLY clean until you wolud have to complane to the front desk at least for a few times...:(( The Waikiki is just 7 minutes for the qiuck wolk and all convinience storse and restaurants are just outside.
