Leinaala Condominiums, Kihei

What we liked about this 24 unit condo was it's location(sort of out of the way from the main tourist drag), it was quiet-off the S. Kehei Rd traffic, and the views from the lanai, or walk across the 150 yards of grass to the ocean for a walk or whale watch. Warned to stay out of water at this area due to pollution from nearby drainage ditch. "Old Menehune Ponds" where Hawaiians constructed fish ponds are near. In fact this is the second time we have stayed here. It has it pluses. We had a 2 bedroom unit for my wife, myself, 2 sons ages 21 and 15. Could have slept another 2 in fold out bed. Unit had 2 AC units, fans, phone, fully equiped kitchen, TV and our unit had wifi for our laptop to connect to. Tennis courts, small pool, gas BBQ grill(though not working at 100% during our visit). Prices here very reasonable, especially compared to other places we have stayed at on Maui. This is a good value. Where you can run into a problem is that each unit may be rented/managed by a different person/company. We rented ours for 8 nights(we thought-had sent all money in, etc) only to receive a call shorly before our 4,500 flight informing us it was, only for 7 nights. With no bargaining power or leverage you are forced to take it or leave it. So we had to check out by 10am, wait around to 3pm to check into a different hotel...meanwhile keeping an eye on our car full of luggage. Wasted, in my opinion, a large portion of a vacation day. But , that said, the condo can sure be a nice place to stay and be based at while visiting Maui. We'd love to go back. On site managers were great, good beds, convenient location.

The condo feels like home and the view off the balcony was unbeatable. We loved how close it was to some amazing resaurants in Kiehi and to some of the fun things to do. There is a small beach just outside the condo that people wind surf every afternoon, that was awesome to watch. The condo had everything we could imagine to cook with and made everything so comfortable. It was very clean and the managment was very nice. The pool is small but never crowded. The balcony is very romantic and an awesome place to watch the sunset! The price was great, you wont find an ocean view room in some huge resort for this, it was quiet and so much fun. We loved it and we would definatly recomend this place to family and friends. Thanks for a great place to stay!! If your into room service and being waited on this isnt the place, it is more of a come and go as you please and take care of your self, which was perfect for us! It is a great location to shopping also!

We spent a week on Maui and stayed at this condo. It was a "wow" on our first arrive to this room. It's a small condo with 24 units and each unit's back door is facing the beach. It's really nice view from the back of your room. It's fully furnished with kitchen, oven, microwave, refrig, TV, dinner table/chair and a sofa with couple chair in the room. The bedroom is pretty big. The only downside at this condo is the bedroom does not have its own AC unit. The whole room has only 1 AC unit, which locates in the living room. We ended up sleeping in the living room on the sofa that could pull out to be a full bed. It was comfort for us after days of activities, you'll get tired anyway. They don't have room service and the office close at 4:00 p.m. However, you'll have everything you'll need in your condo already so you won't need their prompt respond.
