Regency Inn Albany, Albany

We booked a meeting room expecting to do business in the hotel. We were denied access to the room the previous night, being told there was an event going on. This claim was later denied as there were no events the previous night. The meeting room smelled, the wallpaper was stained and warpped, the ceiling tiles displayed water damage and a few were broken, the restroom was filthy and the screen we were to use didn't suspend properly. The staff was incredibly rude. We were called liars and were yelled at by a disagreeable member of staff. Needless to say, we will not be booking there again. Given the choice, we would rather cancel all meeting in this town than return to this hotel.

My Family and I made accomdations to this hotel. but when we got there the lobby was really pretty.Here was the problems: 1.) No sheets on bed 2.) Floor flithy and had holes in carpet. 3.) Bathroom tile broken and toliet leaking 4.)Shower had a big ring around it 5)bed lienens they did have had stains on them. 6.)No refunds after 10 min but it takes you 10 min to get to the room!! In other words do not sleep here unless it is a must!!!!!!!!

Hotel reeked in hallways and our room. Bathroom was filthy; toilet, tub, every thing about the bathroom was nasty. Rugs throughout were filthy. My 9 year old son was so disgusted with our room he was almost in tears. To top it all off there was gang writing on the wall in the hallway outside our room. After looking at room and seeing the gang writing we went outside to talk about what to do and find another room somewhere else. Came back 20 - 30 minutes later and they refused to give our money back (They give you 10 minutes to change your mind). We were supposed to stay 2 nights. Asked for our money back for one night and they again refused (said internet reservations were not refundable). We did not stay the night. They charged us $60 a night for two nights. We are disputing the bill (thank goodness we paid with credit card).

The hotel itself can use a make over. The new Sandtrap Club is a plus but the Hotel itself needs an upgrade. If you stay at this hotel stay on the bottom floors floor only, they are probably the best rooms. The set up inside the club is awesome. Whoever added this was a genius, I think they should add live entertainment to the 25+ Club, and maybe a Professional Karaoke for adults. The DJ stuff is old news! Improve the cleanliness and customer service inside the hotel.

The carpets were nasty, the bathroom was even worse. The so-called maid service finally show up about 5:30 p.m., and then did not leave enough towels,or wash clothes for four people. They were very unfriendly people from the moment we arrived until we left. There was drinking and who knows what else going on in the parking lot just about any time you left or returned. Would not stay at this hotel again.
