Quality Inn North, Valdosta

Don't stay here! Very bad hotel. We reserved 6 rooms-asked if any charges would be put on card-reassured NO. Checked account next day when got home, and 6 room charges are on credit card! Everyone else also paid for their rooms too, so Quality Inn North got paid twice!!! Called hotel to question charges-VERY RUDE desk clerk (Trena, Rena or Tina, couldn't understand what she said) would not let me finish my questioning of the 6-time charges on our card. VERY RUDE!! kept talking over me and not letting me talk. Told me to call back after 11pm to talk to manager and hung up on me. Rooms are not as depicted on-line. Clean but not as nice as shown on-line; very stingy with extra towels, had to give them the used towels before they would give extra and Friday night, partiers in the parkinglot (that weren't even staying at the hotel) were disturbing everyone until 2AM! Kept calling front desk to make the noise go away, and got nowhere there either. Calling Quality Inn corporate offices to complain. Next time won't be so cheap and stay at Holiday Inn!!!!

The room smelled, and there was not a lock on the door. I had to wait in the room, for 30 minutes for someone to come change the lock...they did not show up. We left.

We stayed here on the way home from Florida. Though there wasn't anything horribly wrong with this motel, there wasn't a lot right with it either. Check in was a problem when the clerk had no idea how to handle my debit card and had to make two phone calls before getting it right. In the middle of all that, she became argumentative with another guest and then continued complaining about him and whining about it after he left. (However, the morning clerk was friendly) In our room, the towels were few and the caulking in the tub had some small areas of black mold growing. We had a coffee maker, but no coffee (the front desk did have some). On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable and the room was over all fairly clean and the area seemed quite safe and was quiet all night. The complimentary breakfast was fine and was ready on time. However, there was nothing about this motel that couldn't be found in a much cheaper place. I expected more for twice the price of the similar motel next door.
