Worst hotel and manager has major attitude problem
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/28/11
I stayed here temporarily while changing jobs and looking for a new place. I have stayed in many hotels associated with work travel and this is the worst managed hotel I have ever been to. I went there days before check-in, made reservations with a credit card, and was told I could be in the room I looked at, but when I checked in was told by the general manager Rosalie they were booked, the room was taken and I was lucky to get anything at all let alone a non-smoking King bed room. I asked if I could change rooms when one was available and she said "Well, I'd prefer you change on Wednesday (one week from check-in date). I asked why and she said because that is when I get housekeeping. My room did not have enough electrical outlets to run all the lamps and TV w/cable box at the same time, the shower rod and closet shelf were coming out of the wall, the alarm clock didn't work, the WiFi did not reach to my upstairs room, and the desk chair stunk. Every time I went to get extra supplies (esp. towels and coffee for the room) they were out or towels were in the laundry. Other than the "management" the girls at the front desk were courteous... but totally unempowered to do anything but say you have to talk to someone else. When I went to confirm on Monday night that I would be checking out Wednesday morning I found out they had booked me for an extra week, and nobody that night or the next morning was even capable of reversing the charge, I had to talk the operations manager or GM (Rosalie). I am still trying to work this one out. The management needs to be sent to customer service school and employee management training as they are not even capable of keeping the efforts of even a few staff members consistent, they all just kind of do their own thing. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
