I should have listened to the other reviews!!!!
By Debi, 05/30/09
No security from the doors out side, the halls the I walked down smelled horrible like urine, my room was suppose to be non-smooking, but the bed spread had a burn hole in it, and the pillow case did as well, all night long all I head was the Ice machine outside my room making Ice. And I was charged an extra $15.00 to have a dog, in a hotel that suppose to be pet friendly. Well to me thats not pet friendly. Not worth the money. And let me not for get to mention the WiFi was not working either so I was not able to submit a homework assigment that was due, I am a adult college student. I would never recomend this hotel to anyone, and I will be calling someone about this as well.

Diamond Tours should be ashamed to use this hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/13/08
I am a group leader and booked our Savannah tour thru Diamond Tours 4/7/08 - 4/11/08. this hotel was dirty, mold in rooms, torn and stained furniture in rooms, filty and stained bed linens, broken shower fixtures, broken electrical fixtures, and the list goes on & on.No hot water our last day!The next comment "Stay Away" is from one of our passengers on this tour. The Board of Health should shut this hotel down and I personally will notify the Board of Health to take action!!!

Stay away

Rooms were filty, breakfast choices were few, no cereal at one seating, no orange juice most of the time, last day of stay no hot water for shower, other than that what can I say.

Quality Still Falls Short
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/09/08
Diamond Tours contracted this hotel for our Savannah trip that ended Friday, March 8, 2008. It's obvious the new owners spent some effort improving the grounds and the lobby, but the rooms were a different story. Poor plumbing fixtures, mold in the showers, filthy corners around the air conditioner (it even had screws and parts from some obvious maintenance work) and the furniture was very old and dirty. They responded to calls for servicing, but the rooms were still not anything I would book if I was scheduling a trip. The continental breakfast area was dismal and the food offering was poor. The young lady who was trying to keep things stocked was wonderfully pleasant, though. The exercise room had no television even though there was a place for one to be installed. Small bottles of water in the vending machine were $1.00 and the most convenient ice machine was not working. I will be contacting Diamond Tours to ask that they reconsider using this facility.

Stay away from here!!!
By Elizabeth, 03/20/07
We had the unfortunate experience of staying in this hotel from 3/14/07-3/19/07. When I called to make the reservations, I was told to present my AAA card upon check in to get that rate. Upon our arrival, I was told that they could not change the rate from which it was booked, and if she cancelled and rebooked the room for the AAA rate, I would lose the room. Finally the manger came and straightened this out, but the girl at the front desk just said "you can tell I am blond". We saved $55 with AAA, we would not have if we were not insistent on them fixing the rates. Our room was not clean upon our arrival, nor was it clean for the first three days. Everyday I went to the front desk, they would give me clean towels and tell me they would clean it tomorrow. Finally, on the third day, the front desk clerk directed me to houskeeping to "take it up with them" as she stated that it was "not" her "job" to make sure that my room was cleaned, her only job was to check guests in and out. There was also another angry gentleman at the desk complaining that his room had not been clean, his room was three down from mine. Then the houskeeping staff proceeded to tell me that they were not going to "kill ourselves" to get to my room (it was on the end of the cleaning schedule)because they had so much work to do. As I walked away, they continued to complain about their workload and that the guests have "nerve" wanting all their rooms cleaned everyday. I told them that my room had not been cleaned anyday and they laughed. I did note that the housekeepers spent the majority of the day talking on their cell phones on the chairs in the lobby, they would make rude comments on the phone about whatever guest walked by at the time and give guests dirty looks. The head housekeeper who eventually cleaned our room stated that the other housekeepers "run their mouths" and are "rude to the guests". She stated that they do not listen to her either. The breakfast consisted of cold eggs that were nuked somewhere and brought in, same for the sausage. There was french toast and waffled there with a toater as well as various pastries. Due to the fact that this was St. Patrick's Day weekend, there were no other rooms available in the area, if there had been, I would have checked out.

Unsatisfactory Accommodations
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/07/05
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the facilities in Pooler, GA., from Sept. 23-24, 2005, checking out on Sept. 25, 2005. The location off Interstate 95 was very convenient. The problems: Room rate negotiated was not input correctly; air condition did not work; type of room requested was not input into computer (non-smoking), thereby causing me to have to move; pillows were filthy(requested clean pillows from workers); I was glad I had brought my own linen; breakfast was not what I was told it would be(such as hot sausage, eggs((not frozen and brought in)); bathrooms in the lobby were filthy, they were not the entire weekend while I was there. There was brocoli someone had put in a sink on Friday evening and when I checked out on Sunday it was still there, so were the overflowing trash and trash on the floors. The hallways were not vaccuumed from the time I checked in until the time I checked out(there was candy and other food in the hallways and stairways) In addition, I nor the group I was traveling with felt safe, the reason being, when we returned from a meeting, the door on the side where we entered was opened wide, anyone could walk in, a trash can was holding it open. We did close it when we came in. I was the person that recommended and negotiated for my group to stay at this facility.I was going by the rating in AAA tourbook. This was my first time staying at a Comfort Inn, needless to say this will be my last, nor will I recommend Comfort Inn to anyone else.
