Hotel Staff Polite...Room was suppose to be smoke free, it was so stink of cigarette, sheets and comforters dirty. I was told they had queen size bed and they were double. The beds were hard! I paid for 2 nites, but stayed only 1, because I couldn't get out the same nite. Also, I had to pick up the sheets at the front desk, which a family member went out of her way to changed the sheets on the bed and fixed the bed skirt that was coming apart. I couldn't wait for the next morning to come fast enough, so I could have get out of there. I will never recommend this place to anyon. Its pretty much a place for truckers or railroad workers that are passing by for the nite. Real musty and mildewy smelling. Thank God for my cuz !

This is a honest and unbiased review of this hotel. I was not expecting a 3 star hotel but as the website stated the hotel had been recently renovated, I was expecting something nice. I was very much disappointed. The rooms are dated and old. I opened the door to my room and walked into a room with a stale odor so much so that I actually left the hotel to go buy air freshener. The television colors were off. The desk chair in the room was saggy. The room seemed dark. The drapes were dirty. On a good note, the room and bathroom were clean but due to the dark feel of the room and the outdated decor I could not feel completely comfortable. There was a stain in the corner of the ceiling. There were tiny bugs flying in the room and I was bitten a few times during the night. The pool was clean but the paint was peeling throughout the pool which gave the appearance of dirt in the pool. The fitness center was a converted guest room and very small although with functioning equipment. The breakfast was actually decent with a good variety of hot and cold food and beverages. Most of the employees I encountered were courteous and pleasant though not very friendly. I agree with another reviewer that you can certainly find a better hotel in the area for a comparable price. The real deal breaker for me was when I called the day after checking out looking for an item I thought I may have left in the room. After checking with another staff member, the front desk agent informed me that they could not locate the item. When I inquired further, the front desk employee stated the room was in the same condition as when I checked out as it had not been cleaned yet. This was both shocking and disturbing to me and probably is the reason for the bugs in the room.

The staff, especially Allyn, was really helpfull in helping us decide where we wanted to tour. He is really knowledgeable about the area.Really clean place with a courteous staff. The location was good, with a good value.

Clean,courteous,accommadating,will stay again.convient to all we wanted to see.

after reading reviews I thought I would take a chance, went to Savannah for the St Patricks Day parade. First of all the person that checked us in could not have been more polite, received very good service, first thing I did was check the room to see if it was clean..........and it was, could not find anything wrong, would go back there in the future........nice breakfast the next morning, the girls at the desk were very polite.........NO PROBLEMS HERE!!!!

I have stayed here for three months over the last two years and never had any bad issue. Very busy on weekend since it is inexpensive, getting in and out of breakfast sometimes an issue. Blond haired manager at front desk has been so helpful and I cannot say a bad word about her. Very good club on site, older group and bar personnal became friends over the period of time. good people ( I don't drink) Hotel staff will do what ever it takes to make things right. As typical with most hotels in the south reptiles and bugs are part of it. I will stay here again. It is easy to point out bad things about any hotel but for the money value it is worth it and I enjoyed the friendships I made there.

We got a good deal to stay in this hotel, like $30 per night. the hotel is not in the historic district. but the usual price to stay is almost $80 bucks. there was no exhaust in the restroom. the room smelled like it was old and wet. to top the whole thing of ..there was a huge cockroach in the room. so, not a good experience. i would say stay here if you get a deal like mine..otherwise avoid. oh! one good thing is they have free internet.

WE WERE DOUBLE BILLED FOR 2 ROOMS & 2 NIGHTS. I CALLED THE MANAGER 3 TIMES AND WAS TRANSFERED TO MARK PARKER. I LEFT MESSAGES ON HIS PHONE 3 SEPERATE TIMES AND NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. I THEN WAS TRANSFERED TO A GIRL, CHRISTY, AND SHE SAID IT SHOULD SHOW UP MY ACCOUNT BY EARLY NEXT WEEK AND THAT THERE WAS NO WAY TO AVOID THAT HAPPENING WHEN YOU PREPAY FOR A ROOM. THE ROOM AND BATHROOM WERE NOT THE CLEANEST AND THE CHAMBER MAID BLOCKED THE BALCONEY. WE HAD TO WALK OVER LINEN TO GET BY. THE BREAKFAST WAS A BUFFET THAT WAS ICE COLD. WE WALKED OUT AND ATE AT A NICE DINNER NEXT DOOR. MY DAUGHTER ATTENDS NEAR BY SCAD, WE WILL NOT BE BACK TO THAT ESTABLISHMENT.

TV didnt' come in clear, corner lamp didnt' work and the light in bathroom flickered. Staff was pleasant. AC was very noisy and didnt' really blow cool air.

After receiving our keycards and lugging suitcases to the second floor, we opened the door to our room and either someone else was staying there, or they had not made up the bed or cleaned the room from the previous guest (we checked in at 8pm). We carried the luggage back down the steps and were issued new keycards to another room. Back up the steps with the luggage and into another room with a loud a/c (very hard to sleep)and a television that didn't work. The maintenance man replaced the tv with one from the lounge but had no remote control. It seemed that 80% of the occupants had dogs in their room with them. There was police action at a "pool hall lounge" adjacent to the Holiday Inn. The second night our cardkeys failed to work, so back to the desk to get new cardkeys once again. I forgot, the lady at the desk issued us a complimentary breakfast pass for the inconvience for the wrong room, but the pass wasn't good on weekends and it was dated for Sunday morning. Bad choice on our part, it won't happen again.
