WTF?
By GOLDIELOX, 6/16/10
I give it to the W, the decor is pretty cool. The bed is really comfortable, and the hotel is quiet, so I got a good night's rest here for sure. What I didn't get was good customer service. Granted, the "wherever..." associate was very accommodating. I placed my room service order, and specified NO MAYO on my sandwich (I hate it). However, an hour later, my order arrived with mayo on the sandwich and missing the bottled water I asked for. I tried calling "wherever..." repeatedly for 15 minutes straight, but I got no answer. I had to dial the hotel from my mobile and speak to someone at the front desk. They offered to send another sandwich up to me, but I declined. At 10pm and an expected 1hr wait time, I'm really cool on the whole idea. They took the sandwich off the bill and offered me a comp breakfast. Nice save, but I don't expect these kinds of snags at the W hotel. GET IT TOGETHER, W MIDTOWN! Oh, and I asked for a large bottled water about 30 minutes ago. I've yet to receive it. WTF?!

Nice Hotel but could use some improvements
By DorothyG, 6/28/09
I liked the style and beautiful decor. Rooms are really nice and the beautiful walk in natural stone shower is really something. I didn't like the fact that you have to pay ten dollars a day for parking, there are no soft drink machines on the floors and the ice machines didn't work so I had to go all of the way to the lobby to get ice. You have to use your room key to operate the elevator which can be a hassle when your arms are full. When I checked in on a friday night, there was house music blasting so loud you could not even hear the desk clerk trying to check you in. There was a DJ spinning records in the lobby bar which is completely out in the open with no walls or partion separating the lobby from the bar. Young people were starting to gather for the friday night party. The loud music was even piped into the elevator. Seems that they could do better than that. Maybe all of the guests don't want to hear their music. Other than that the stay was okay.

Welcome to Hell
By Precious, 5/13/09
I liked the decor and the contemporary vibe of the place but the staff was truely horrible! It was my birthday and the bouncer of the night club which is inside of the hotel was rude, pushed the paying patrons that was staying there and the hotel and allowed people that were not staying at the hotel (mainly broke men) to enter the club and stand around the hotel and ignored the patrons who payed to enjoy the services of the hotel. The manager was extreamly young and wasnt helpful in resolving this manner or any other manner I begged this hotel to resolve. Needs major work on customer service! Especially if your dropping 500 bucks a nite to stay there!!!!! Hope you have extreme patience for dealing with this hotel before blowing half your salary on staying here What a waste!

A pretty hotel
By Steven, 7/27/08
This hotel is ridiculously nice in terms of decor. The lobby, and its multiple bars are very much a place to be seen by the "beautiful people" of Atlanta. This hotel is very contemporary, you may wanna keep the kids and the grandparents away as this was not a very family-friendly hotel. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area, however they seemed a bit unable to handle the overwhelmingly large crowd at the front desk. (The hotl is VERY crowded with party-goers and hotel guests alike)

Stunning redesign and decor
By Huston, 4/4/08
This new Midtown Atlanta W Hotel used to be the classic Sheraton. Now it's been totally revamped from the ground up and it's alarmingly beautiful. I've stayed in many W's around the country and this by far the biggest and most expansive in my opinion. So much space and it's obvious that careful planning and thought went into every detail. Spice is one restaurant of two and 3 bars (at last count) are now open. Every seat has been packed on each visit we've made. We are really looking forward to the "Bliss" spa opening soon as well. We attended the soft opening and were blown away. A must stay if you are in the Midtown or downtown Atlanta area. -Huston Singletary, Atlanta
