Vanderbilt Inn on the Gulf, Naples

My husband used to manage this resort before his first wife died in 1993. We married in 2001 and he took me there in April of 2002 (2007 is the furthest back the dropdown goes so that I why I checked it) when it was still called, The Vanderbilt Beach Resort. I loved it. The beach location, swimming pool are great. We stayed at a condo on the bay across the street and I am not sure that is even part of the new Vanderbilt Inn. The Turtle Club Restaurant was spectacular. Wonderful sunset view while we ate our superb dinner.

I have been here twice.Once with the guys,and once with my wfie and kids.We all had a tremendous time,and would definately go back.Fantastic beach,pool,beach bar.The rooms are nothing great,but clean.The only problem we had,was with the service at the front desk.Hopefully they got rid of her by now.

There was absolutely nothing that we didn't enjoy at this resort. The service, rooms, food, and scenery were and are terrific. We have stayed here 4 times and never disappointed. The chickie bar rocks at night and the sunsets are unbelievable. Can't wait to go back

for the money you cant beat this place been there 2 times would go again tomorrow if i could. naples is so expensive to find a place on the beach for a reasonable price was so nice friendly people great getaway sad it is being torn down :( great beach view good food nice pool just a great deal

We loved the location on the beach,the lovely sunsets and most of all the service and locals whom we met quite a few of at the Tiki Bar. Unfortunately since it will be torn down in the spring, we won't be seeing the place which will hold a place in our hearts forever where we celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary.

We've heard that the wonderful Vanderbilt Inn (along with the Chickee Bar) is going to be torn down this spring to make way for another big conglomerate! The rustic, old-world charm of the Vanderbilt, along with its reasonable rates, will be lost forever. I was there in November and LOVED IT! So long, see you in another life!

what a great time ! my wife and i enjoyed the first day so much we immediately began to plan our return trip..the food was excellent,the tiki bar was hosted by very friendly people,the beach is a few steps from a great heated pool-take your pick,the whole ball of wax.....wonderful vacation!

I loved the location, people, and food. I will love to go back, but my pet is not alowed. However, I had a lot of fun.

We love the Chickee Bar & Restaurant for its sheer fun - fun location (right next to the beach), great sunsets, and friendly staff who make you feel right at home. While the music used to be much better in previous years - the old combo on weekends was terrific - the staff and regulars are simply great. Its a great place with a great atmosphere! We love it!
