Seriously?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/4/11
My husband and I live in town and stayed here to celebrate an anniversary and get some alone time away from the kids. He had arranged to have flowers delivered to the hotel and left instructions for them to be set up and left in the room prior to our arrival because they were a surprise. When we got to the front desk the clerk said " I see you have a shipment" and my husband tried to play it off by saying "no, we shouldn't have any shipment here". The clerk then goes, "Yes you do. Looks like flowers." and then handed him the Teleflora box to carry up along with all our luggage. He was so disappointed. He had even called and spoken to the manager to make sure it went right and it didn't. We ended up checking out early because the mildew/musky smell was just too much to deal with and it was making us stuffy. We had to argue with the shift manager to let us cancel the second night without paying an extra penalty. What a racket. We definitely learned our lesson and next time we will just pay the extra money and stay at the new Marriott.

What a dump!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/23/08
I should have known....they didn't even have cookies at check-in! They put us on the smoking floor - putrid odor. Great view - floor to ceiling windows, with view of parking garage, cars parked about a foot from our bed! There was broken furniture and trash piled in one corner of the garage - impressive! Food was terrible - "thick & juicy Angus burger" was not thick or juicy or Angus meat but tasted like soy filler with fake charcoal flavor...My husband got stuck in the elevator and had to crawl out - the next day, the bellman told him he got stuck also! (Look at the reviews - elevator problems for a couple of years.) At 1 a.m. noise almost knocked us out of bed...they were cleaning carpets with the van parked next to our room beause a commode broke. I would NEVER stay there again - even for free!! Parking is terrible, and valet service is even worse - takes about a half hour to find someone to get your car - once, the desk clerk had to get ours. It is a disgrace to give this place the Hilton name - whoever wrote the reviews for March 08 must work for the hotel...this place doesn't even seem to care about providing good customer service.

The bad reviews are severely incorrect!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/18/08
This hotel was gorgeous!! I cannot believe that this hotel got such bad reviews! Unless they completely renovated I just cant seem to understand why people gave it such bad ratings! My boyfriend and I need a place close to the airport, and we wanted a decent place to rest our heads. This hotel blew me away, warm cookies as you check in, cleaner than any other hotel, very pleasant workers, not to mention the view from our room (gorgeousss), and most importantly the bed was heaven! For the price this hotel cannot be beat! DO NOT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS!!!!

WOW!! What a nice place!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/4/08
I am not sure who wrote the most recent review in 2008 but how wrong could they be. My husband I stayed there this weekend and there was not one problem with the hotel or the service that we got. The lounge was nice, food was very good and best of all the staff was wonderful. I just wanted to get the bad reviews corrected. What a nice place. Thank you for great hospitality!! We will be back again........

Maintenance, we don't need no stinking maintenance
By No, 1/13/08
What a disaster - this hotel apparently has been run down for years and no one cares. It is an embarrassment for the Hilton chain. Among other problems in our early 2008 stay -- Someone was in the first room we were given. Ooops. Carpets throughout the hotel were worn and stained, and dirty! No stopper in bathroom sink. Grout was black and dirty all around the bottom of the toilet...ugh! Heat and A/C did not work. Thermostat was just hanging off the wall. Wallpaper in room was bubbling all over; must be a water leak somewhere. Radio / Alarm clock did not work. Windows leaked - you could hear the traffic all night long and it kept me awake. And the coup-de-gras - when I opened the coffee maker in the morning to make coffee there was a used coffee filter in it! Double-ugh. Stay away from this place.

Worst hotel experience I can remember
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/19/06
I was there for a conference and stayed in the Doubletree for 5 nights. My toilet leaked onto the floor, ran constantly, and the last 3 days I left the tank lid on the floor, because I had to flush by reaching in and pulling the flap manually. I showed the housekeeper the problem, complained the first 2-3 days, Our conference coordinator complained everyday. Nothing was ever done, not even an apology. The staff at this hotel could care less. Non-smoking rooms wreaked with smoke. The hallways on the 15th and 16th floors had a musty and smoky smell. I was not the only one with problems: others experienced dirty rooms and occupied rooms at check in, elevator noise next to rooms, and extreme lack of attention. Hilton should be ashamed.

Very Average to poor
By Robert, 3/21/06
Both lamp and TV in room did not work, were replaced. Tab faucet dripped water. Shower too small - my elbow frequently hit the soap dish. Mats in the bathroom prevented door from opening and closing - door level needed to be adjusted. Restaurant needed upgrading badly - was dingy, dirty, dimmly lite and generally unappealing. Gym facility had good equipment, but tiny room made exercising unattractive.

Take a pass on this Doubletree
By Erin, 5/17/05
The location was great and the food was good (but don't order roomservice b/c it is cold when delivered - and delivery is later than scheduled). This facility needs some updating - the bathtub didn't drain and the phone didn't work (and despite several attempt by the staff, neither was able to be fixed). Though points to the staff for trying! The exercise room is way out of date and none of the equipment worked - none of it! There is a Courtyard down the street that you might want to check out!
