Talk About Having it ALL!

From the moment were greeted by the bellhops, we knew this was going to be a great place to stay. The lobby was so crispy-clean, gorgeous with a wonderful lounging spot complete with four different kinds of ice cold, fresh, fruit-flavored water. The check-in process was quick and easy, with friendly help as well. They upgraded all 4 of our rooms (considering we were there during the off-season) to king suites, which had the largest bathrooms of any hotel I had ever seen, incuding walk-in closets and two vanities. The pool just went on forever, including a water slide, and had many, many shady spots with umbrellas for the couple of us who were not up for lying in the sun. There was an outdoor restaurant right at the pool, for casual dining al fresco. Towels were available at the pool, two per key, which was nice. Also available for rental were these amazing cabanas complete with ceiling fans, tvs, refrigerators, lounging couches, towels, the works! Would have been GREAT had we brought our finicky kids who like to pool hop, then watch tv, then take a nap in the shade. They also had a kids club which seemed like it was filled with great activities for all ages. We used the concierge service, which was impeccable, and as we had been drinking all day, we needed a place within walking distance that had great food, and that would accept us in swimsuits and coverups. There were several restaurants to choose from, and the concierge was ultra-helpful in that area. (The ribs at the Irish pub place were outstanding!) The area was very up-scale; lots of high-end shopping within walking distance. It was farther from South Beach than we had anticipated, and cab fare for 8 people was not cheap each night, each way, but we considered it worth it not to have to designate a driver and car rental. We truly enjoyed our stay in the wonderfully comfortable beds and we hated when it was finally time to head home. We would definately go back to this hotel, and even take the kids next time. With so much to do in the area, it would make for a great family vacation !! The rate we received made it all worth it, too. You wouldn't beleive how inexpensive this place is! (The only thing that was a bummer, and this was my first time at North Miami Beach, was that there was really no surf to speak of at the beach. The waves were so big and violent, you could not even step one foot into the ocean without being knocked down.)
