Sanibel Cottages, Sanibel

we have vacationed on Sanibel for the past 25 years, most of which has been spent at Sanibel Cottages. I cannot say enough good things about them. always prompt, excellent response if we have a problem. very clean, spacious, well managed. some amenities provided free such as beach umbrellas, toys, movies, games, beach chairs. very private, very luxurious. very convenient to all of the island. beautiful beach, which goes, of course, without saying..... quiet, peaceful. not so much to do for those with small children (in the way of things such as planned activities) unless you prefer natural, family oriented things like walks on the beach, family swims in the pool, shuffleboard. but if you are looking to get away from the kids for a while, bring a babysitter! we used to own at Casa Ybel down the beach, and they have plenty of things planned for children, so if this is what you are looking for, you might try there instead. this is home away from home and we always feel welcome and comforted when we are there.
