Airport Inn, Sarasota

This place is supposed to be going under renovation. We stayed there in early October and the only thing we could see was that the old drapes were down and they put up new blinds. Cigarette burns all over the furniture, air conditioners did not work in some rooms (we tried 2 rooms, finally had to use our own tools to fix it) and most doors were deadbolted so you needed a regular key. We opted to buy a sleeping bag and some room freshener to stay overnight. Very seedy. The place had graffiti, but the upside was the pool was clean and the Joyland Bar there is great fun. Went to see Hot Applie Pie there!

Went there in March 2005 and left because it was unsanitary. DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION AT THIS TRASH HOLE!!!
