Holiday Inn Express Cape Coral, Cape Coral

We stayed here as a result of a package vacation deal through Yahoo Travel. Our destination was Sanibel and Captiva Islands. The Staff was extremely friendly. All rooms have balconies which was nice. The included breakfast was a bonus. Free Wi Fi also a score. The room was ordinary, but very clean. The pool was much nicer than expected. There is a local beach and it's about a 20 minute drive to Sanible and Captiva. Plenty of places to eat in the immediate area. Only small criticisms: need water in vending machines and would have liked fresh fruit at breakfast. Would recommend.

Service is defined by how problems are handled. First, the desk clerk gave me wrong information- twice. Another guest and a colleague corrected him. Then I was put in a smoking room and he blamed Holiday Inn's travel partner and did nothing to try to resolve. They finally moved me to a "dorm floor" filled with college students who had decorated their doors. Only recommend if you like dorm rooms and misinformation.

The rooms were comfortable and decorated nicely, and we felt at home staying there several nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very convenient location for getting to Fort Myers or restaurants. The continental breakfast was adequate, but nothing to write home about. We never made it to the pool. A lower rate would have been nice, but I think the rates were typical for the area.

the mattress was unconfortable. smell of mildew in the hotel. there pool was unkept up. the bed cover was stained. they didn't even change the sheets on the bed. the walls were thin. you could hear the tv in the next room. the room had mold. i wouldn't stay here again.

Well, first off the place is not all that clean, however, if your not looking for clean, and your looking for drunk, than this is the right place for you. The beautiful tiki bar around the corner looked like home to perverts and diddlers alike. Cape coral only has 4 or 5 hotels, so just be prepared to buckle up and spend the dough.

I inquired with the hotel about the previous review, stating that a woman was mugged there. They knew what I was refering to and stated that it was a domestic dispute. The woman that it happened to was not even a guest. Her boyfriend was staying there.

After checking out of the disgusting del prado inn my husband and I stayed here it was a couple bucks more. But alot more comfortable. The people that stay here are decent people with cars that aren't cheap. I think you can tell alot by a hotel by the cars parked in the lots. The service was great even though the only thing I needed them for was some fresh towels in the morning. The room was nice. Nothing out of the ordinary, plain and nice. It was clean which is the most important thing. The bedsheets all look new. The tv is pretty big. The beds are pretty comfy and alittle high of the ground which I like. It does get alittle noiser from the del prado blvd side because of the traffic but if you're patio isn't open it is very managable. Or you can request a room not facing that side. They have a nice small tiki bar and no I wouldn;t bring my kids to the bar I wouldn;t mind if were near it under adult supervision as they should be anyway. the pool is right next to the bar. And looks like it's regularly maintained.

Exellent front-desk and housekeeping staff, eager to please; lots of street noise, very dark hallways, cool Tiki bar poolside but a lot of over-imbibed patrons; not sure I would feel comfortable with younger children around the speech-slurred drinkers; price is appropriate and I would stay there again if looking for inexpensive place to stay briefly (one or two nights)
