Pier House Resort and Caribbean Spa, Key West

The Pier House was wonderful. Yes, a little pricey but worth it. Went with my husband and another couple. Both my friend and I were celebrating turning 50. Great view, convenient to everything. We had scheduled so many outings while we were there; swimming with dolphins, fishing charter, sunset wine tasting on a sailboat, snorkling/kayaking. The concierge was more then helpful in planning all this with us. The boat races were going on at the same time we were there and we could sit on our beach and watch.

My daughter and I stayed here over Christmas this past year. Our room was dirty, the shower leaked, and our room overlooked the beach where all the bums sleep. The priced jumped 100.00 per night over Christmas. The hot tub had so many chemicals in it that I had a major allergic reaction and had to take Benedryl. The water smelled terrible. The coffee pot in our room was broken the whole time. I would never go back to the Pier House. Tina from Pa.

My husband & I went there in Febuary. While the location was nice (very close to Mallory Square and where the glassbottom boat docks) there wasn't really that much else to commend on. The rooms were pricey to begin with and they gave us a room with 2 queen beds, which was more a hassel and took up more than half the room, the room itself wasn't visually appealing. Oh and they put us right next to the ice machine so all night long, we'd wake up to people dispensing ice (which isn't so quiet) Food? Severely overpriced. Spa? About the same. This "private" beach everyone has posted a review about? It is by far the SMALLEST "beach" I have ever seen in my life. If I ever return to the Keys, it definately will not be to this hotel. Try the Hyatt thats down the street some.

Wonderful location, close to everything but still you felt like you were in a tropical paradise away from crowds of Key West. Close to Mallory Square and Sunset Pier. Hotel rooms, grounds, restaurants, amenities were very nice. Hotel staff was excellent, very attentive and friendly.

The Pier House is perfectly located at the end of Duval Street and a stone-throw away from Mallory Square, putting you right in the heart of all the sights and sounds of Key West. Even with that said, I found my room to be perfectly quiet at night and had no issues escaping the noise of the streets to relax and unwind when I needed to. The private beach is possibly the best the island has to offer (at least the cleanest, most accessible and friendliest), with a bar and grill located right on it (even having a waitress go around and ask if you'd like a drink to be brought to you) and helpful staff to put out chairs and provide towels as needed. There currently is construction going on to the grounds, as they are expanding and putting in new rooms overlooking the Gulf, but this was never an issue. The concierge and front desk was more than helpful, providing suggestions and coupons for discounts to the attractions on the Island, as well. The room itself was rather large, with a very pronounced Carribbean theme. The staff always cleaned the room consistently (which must be a pain with all the sand that gets tracked in from the beach) and there was never any issues as it relates to room service. The restraunts on site are top-notch, and I often found myself eating at the Pier House for the ease and excellent offerings. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and will look no where else when I return to Key West with my wife.

February 2008 A little know hideaway in Key West is the Chartroom at the Pier House Resort. The Chartroom opens in the afternoon for a happy hour. A very small place with an out of place feel for the very upscale Pier House. It is an extremely pleasant experience. The drinks are good. You grab a dish of peanuts sit at the bar or one of the few tables and throw the shells on the floor. You will mingle with guests of the Pier House and locals as well. See some unique people and hear some of he most interesting conversations while enjoying your favorite libation. Peanuts, popcorn and booze make for a fun time. Frank L from Connecticut

Loved the swim beach, pool, bar, food and right by old town. They had some coral near the beach swim area where we could take our 8 year old without leaving sight of the room for his first coral experience. They had boat rentals and all entertainment near. It was a calm, classy place where you could retreat after the clammer of the strip. We are planning to go back soon....

Not having rooms available when i want to come down ...There's no real negitives about the Pier House ..it's just that I should'nt have to book a room a year in advance to come down in October ..Because of my schedule it would be hard to book a room and down the road NOT be able to come.I am acontestent i Pretenders In Paradise every year I did'nt come because of uncertinly about staying some where close by (The Peir House ) thats why i did'nt come last year. I'm comming this year and i would LOVE to stay at the Pier House. I'm sure i'll have the same Problem not getting a room When i call to book a room i hear that there are rooms available fo F/F then there are not this is my Only dis-like about the Pier Houes .Other than that you have the Best Hotel there in Key West Keep up the good work I know this is supose to be about Dis-Likes ..but like i said there are none except getting a room Jim Hopps

Went for a romantic vacation with my boyfriend and we loved every minute of our stay. Our room was perfect, comfortable bed, big bathroom, cute little garden just outside our balcony. The private beach is the best!! Loved the view from Harbour Beach Cafe, I highly recommend the breakfast there too. What can I say besides Location, Location, Location, best spot to stay in town! We will be back as soon as we can!
