WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY!
By sunnsand, 02/24/09
We arrived at Longboat Key resort in May 2008. The front desk people were extremely friendly and helpful. Someone assist us with out luggage and showed us to our room. Rooms were clean. Housekeeping does a good job. The entrance to the resort is secured with a guard house and only allows employees or people with reservations on the property. A safe place for your family. Beaches clean. May is a slow period. We were lucky to see 50 people within a mile of us on the beach. It was great! The resort was full but most of the bookings were business people in meetings or conferences. This resort is a little expensive at a average of 250.00 a night but we enjoyed our time here. They do have a very nice golf course. Lots of things do in the area. Wonderful vacation spot for couples and families. We will definitely stay here again !!!

THE BEST OF THE BEST
By PamelaK, 01/17/08
I had been to the Longboat Key Club many times years and years ago with my girlfriends when I was single. Decided to return after about 10 years and I am now married. The place is even better. My husband and I preferred to golf alone early in the morning and that was never a problem. The pool and beach are absolutely the best. We had the staff photographer take our photo on the beach at sunset and she made us look like movie stars. Definitely worth the price if you want a high quality, hang-over-the-mantlepiece memory that lasts forever. Can't wait to return again this April.

marvolous!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/07
THIS MAY BE THE PERFECT RESORT. THE ROOMS ARE BEAUTIFUL AND EXTREMELY SPACIOUS, THE STAFF IS EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL, AND NOBODY HAS AN ATTIDUDE. JUST A WONDERFUL, FIRST CLASS RESORT. I CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN.

Paradise found!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/29/07
This resort is all that we had hoped for! Our first impression was the very friendly man at the front gate who made us feel very welcome. The service is impeccable. The Club Suites are beautifully decorated and the beds are the most comfortable I've ever slept in, and the rotating flat-screen was a big plus! I keep a very clean house, so my standards are high as far as cleanliness and I was very happy with the rooms. The pool was big and had a lot of clean chairs set up daily, enough for everyone. The beach was beautiful with white sand, clear water, and great shells. The cabana/umbrella staff was always there to set up for you without you having to ask. Whether you play tennis or not, the courts are not near the rooms, so there is no annoying noise early in the morning if you want to sleep. Late checkout was not a problem. We only extended it for an hour and that extra hour gave us time to swim in the ocean one more time and shower before we had to pack up and leave. Can't wait to go back!

Everything Excellent Except Checkout
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/12/07
Everything was excellent except we didn't like the unflexible checkout times. We managed a conference in their ballroom for the weekend and had to leave everything unattended to vacate our hotel room on Sunday at 11am to meet an unchangable checkout time. Unacceptable !!

Great Place But What to do at Night?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/12/06
The rooms are very large and very well appointed with all the necessities including a fully equipped kitchen,in room safe and private balcony, even bathrobes are provided. But when the sun has gone down and the beach lovers have oohed and ahhed over the sunset, something is missing. ENTERTAINMENT. Especially if you travel in the summer, there is almost nothing to do. A movie would be nice, live music would be nicer. It is not just The Resort but the whole Key seems to be lacking in that aspect. It takes a trek into Sarasota to enjoy your night life. Never the less I will return to the LongBoat Key Club again and again.

Perfect vacation in paradise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/06/05
The place was gorgeous, our room was great and we had a beautiful view of the sunset from our balcony. The beach is quiet and lovely, and it has the softest white sand you've ever seen. The service was great--the staff really works hard to make your stay as perfect as possible! The location is also convenient for trips to Mote Marine or St. Armands circle. I would highly recommend this resort for a vacation you will always remember and want to repeat!
