OMG it was amzing great for families or no families. wow. i just sugest everybody to go there if you are looking to stay there for about 1-10 days, anymore and it might get a bit tiring. GREAT FOOD!!

Hidden Paradise in Ft. Lauderdale

We recently had the pleasure of staying at your resort for the first time. We chose the title of our review because we found your resort to be just that, a hidden paradise. From the moment we arrived and were greeted at the front entrance we knew what a remarkable team you have representing your resort. Our stay could not have been more perfect. We feel the need however, to single out a few of your team members who helped make our stay so wonderful. Don, who saw to all our needs and made each dining experience unique. Bartenders-Tom & Dulcie (hope correct spelling), for their warm, friendly and "make you feel right at home" personalities. Can't forget James & Chris at the beach for all their help. Please compliment your team for making our experience so exceptional! One last comment "We'll be back!" Best regards, Robert Devigili & Carol Palko

It was wonderful

From the moment you step inside the front door it's pure beauty! The staff is so helpful & friendly. The food is unbelievable. The beach area & pools are the best! There also many extras offered to make your stay extra special. From hot fudge sundaes from the snack bar to personal message. Sure makes you not want to go home!!!!

wonderful

a family owned place which is kept wonderful in ft. lauderdale. spacious rooms,clean, all refurbished with new bathrooms the staff is very friendly. 3 places you can eat. there sit down restraunt is the best deal at lunch with good food. old fashion soda parlor. a tad on the exspensive side but a very good place to stay for all types of people

lago mar - not great for families

A lovely resort in a fantastic location. Overpriced in February with not enough amenities/services to match the steep price. Absolutely no family activies during winter break in February although over 200 children were staying on the property that week. No clown, singer, magician or activities/contests whatsoever. I thought that was lame and lazy of the resort and because of it wouldn't go back there with our kids who are ages 7 and 10. Also, the "fancy"restaurant there is the ONLY one open for dinner and they have no children's menu. The setting of the restaurant was nice, but the food was only ok...definiely not "gourmet" as they bill it and the service was poor. Waiters were inattentive and somewhat rude...

Don't go there if you have small kids...........

Lago Mar is not for people with children unless they are perfect little adults. The children were not allowed to splash in the pool. They were told they were too noisy for other guests. Also, any kind of pool toys were not allowed. There was basically a "guard" watching you at all times. This was not an enjoyable time for our family although the resort was beautiful. I don't know why they advertised things like playgrounds etc. when the staff make it quite obvious that they are not welcomed there. I would not recommend this resort to a family at all. Mrs. H. Relaxing Hotel on the Beach

I stayed at Lago Mar in between business trips and it was a great place to relax on the beach. The rooms are very spacious with a full kitchen and the amenities are excellent, too. I was on the 1st floor, and my room opened up right onto the beach. There were a variety of people there, including families with small children. The staff was very hospitable as well. Definitely a great place to escape for the weekends, as a couple, alone or with children.
