Days Inn University Center Downtown, Tallahassee

My mother and I were flying out the next morning extremely early so we wanted to be somewhat close to the airport. We wanted a motel what was not expensive, but what we found was a motel that is run down, the room was very hot they had not turned the air on prior to us arriving. Once we turned the air on it was taking a really long time to cool so I ask the front dest for a fan to maybe circulate the air, they gave us an air filter that smelled like bleach. After about 10 minutes, I had to turn it off because my mother as getting sick with a headache. After over a week, she is still experiencing the effects of the air filter. Also, our dead bolt on the door would not lock, and the room was very small.

Filthy everything,carpet,bed,pillows all stained,had to buy one at store.I can't believe it has a Day's Inn name.Horrible experience.Never go to this motel,you will regret it. Fl.

It was far from luxurious, however it was a great place for the price. The location is directly across from FSU, on Tennessee Ave. which has just about everything you need! It is within walking distance from several restaurants, both fast food and casual dining. It is also with walking distance to the hookah bar which is great! The rooms were clean and decent in size, and the staff was friendly. My only complaint was that the sliding glass door didn't open, but I'd rather have it not open, then not close! I will definitely be staying there again! :-)
