We had a GREAT Stay (Disregard Bad Reviews)
By S., 02/04/10
My family and I had a great time during our week stay. The room was clean and smelled nice every day (very clean sheets, towels, etc.). The common areas were beautiful and the pool was refreshing (and warm). We ate at the hotel several times and enjoyed our meals every time. Great beach and lots to do close by, including restaurants. DisneyWorld is only 45 minutes away. Price was amazing. I recommend this hotel to friends and family and will plan my next stay at this hotel.

Definitely vintage!
By Janis, 06/16/09
While the hotel itself is definitely old and in need of remodeling, I will say that we had a good time there because of the kiddie pool. We had 4 children with us under the age of 6 and they had a great time. Towels were horrible...like rope on the new sunburn!

We had a great stay!
By Sherry K, 02/21/09
I saw all the negative reviews after I had reserved my room. I must admit that I was nervous about what we'd find when we got to the hotel. I am glad to say that I was very pleased with this hotel. We stayed in one of the kids' suites for 6 days. Our room was clean and I had no issues at all with this hotel. The front desk clerks were friendly, the housekeepers came and cleaned our room every day unless we asked them not to. The pool was heated and clean. The pool was also a lifesaver because it was too cold and windy most of the time to swim in the ocean. Our room had a microwave and small refridgerator. This was a money saver for us. We bought food to eat breakfast and lunch in our room and only had to pay to eat at a resaurant for dinners. The only thing I did not like about this hotel was the restaurant. We ate there the first night and the service was terrible. It took 20 minutes for us to get drinks and our order taken. They were having a wedding reception and a Valentines Day dance going on that same evening and I think most of the rest. staff was serving those two events. We did not eat there again however. If we ever decide to vacation in cocoa beach we would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Great for the Price!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/30/08
I was a little worried since I booked our room and THEN read all the comments posted (I thought no wonder the rate was so great!) but we just got back from a week at this hotel and we had a blast! There's no question it's a vintage hotel with all the rooms having the door outside but it just reminded me of all the road trips I took to Florida with my parents when I was a kid. We walked right out of our door and onto the beach and saw some awesome sunrises. The kids couldn't get enough of the pirate ship pool. The front desk had free shuffleboard and tennis equipment and even free board games for a rainy day. They let us bring our dog and there's even a dog park next door. We really couldn't afford to go on vacation this year but I couldn't resist the $69 rate and we needed a break. I feel refreshed and ready to go into battle! Or at least, into the holidays!!

Priority Gold Club Member & STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/08
Hotel looks like it was built the 70s and is lacking maintenance and a well needed face lift. Furniture in the room was old and stained, and the bathroom was very out dated. The common areas look like what you would find in the projects, and the elevator was old and smelled like urine. Although, the hotel claims to have wireless internet, the connection was so slow that I gave up on emailling anyone. To top off our stay, the hotel staff charged us twice (first put a hold on our credit card and then recharged us when we left) After returning home and realizing the problem I called and was handed off to several staff members, put on hold, and finally spoke to the night manager who explained that I would have to call back in the morning to speak to the finance person in order to receive my refund. I asked for the corporate number, and after being on hold for a while, I was given a 1-800 number which connected me to national reservations. I finally looked up the corporate number myself, and now have to wait 5-7 days to have the issue resolved. - - not a nice way to finish of a disaster vacation - -

NEVER AGAIN - DON'T GO!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/08
Your pictures on your website make the hotel look inviting and lovely. However, once you get there the common areas are horrible. The pool area was disgusting and filthy. There was food and dirty diapers on the pool deck, lounge chairs and tables. The lounge chairs were moldy from lack of rinsing off daily. The towel bin was often empty and took a very long time to refill. The laundry room was also dirty and the folding table was broken. My husband went to the front desk and complained and they just said "I'm sorry" but did nothing. (From other reviews it seems like a common response.) So my husband took pictures of the mess. The next day it was still the same way. The only good thing I have to say positive about the hotel was that the rooms were old but okay and the beach area was nice. I called the customer hot line and a just got a short email saying basically thank you for the information and nothing more. Despite that, I would not go back there or recommend anyone to stay there. Especially since no one seemed to care what a customer had to say or show (I offered to send them my pictures of the filth).

kid & beach-friendly, but marginal for business trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/12/08
Good if you have kids or want easy access to beach and are ok with old-fashion basic rooms. If you are on business trip, this may be weak based on room quality and noisiness of park-like compound (shuffleboard, tennis, pools, etc.) Facility is 50 yrs old 27-acre location, probably one of the area's 1st given the amount of land. Multiple 2-story units reminded me of hotels from my childhood in the 60's, so nostalgic in that sense. Nice for quick adjacent (100-yd) access to beach, otherwise very kid-oriented facility. Gym is token, with a few ellipticals, but full gym across street @ $7.50 per-day-of-use via hotel arrangement.

Ok for families, budget traveler...
By Maegan C, 04/28/08
We stayed here in march of 2008 and we had fun for the most part. it does pay to speak up and inquire where your room is. we were in one of the buildings further from the beach, and on hind sight, i would request to be closer to the beach. also, the kis under 12 eat free, but be sure to let your server know at each meal who is eating free. we had a go round with a server at the mango grill when my 8 year old ordered "chicken fingers and fries" but i didn't specify that they were from the kid menu, so they tried to charge us for the adult meal. you can't beat the location, and we had a "kid suite" which was really great with a separate bunk for the kids. it's not fancy, and it can be loud, but it is a very good value for families.
