Daytona Beach Regency Resort, Daytona Beach

We went there for Labor Day Weekend and were extremely disappointed. We were promised an oceanfront room with a balcony. The oceanfronts were unavaiable and the balconies were all damaged in recent storms and couldn't even be used. In addition, housekeeping is only done on Thursdays....if we wanted to make our own beds and wash/dry our own towels, we would have stayed home. While trying to get compensated Diamond Resorts International declined.

This is a great place to stay, close to the beach and very good service and friendly employees. The only thing I did not like was the dumpsters showing out one window but they have to put them someplace. I would stay here anytime, the rooms are big and I wish my bathroom at home was as big as this one. Close to shopping and food with plenty to do for everyone.

I LOVED THIS PLACE...WE HAVE STAYED AT THE BOARDWALK INN AND THE DESERT INN AND THEY ARE DUMPS COMPARED TO THE REGENCY...IT WAS MUCH MORE THAN I HAS HOPED FOR!!! THE ONLY THING THAT I DIDNT LIKE WAS THAT THE POOL WAS KIND OF SMALL..BUT THE REST OF THE HOTEL MADE UP FOR IT!! OUR FAMILY WILL ALWAYS BE STAYING AT THE REGENCY WHEN WE COME TO DAYTONA BEACH..I WOULDNT WANT TO STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!

We own a timshare in Tennessee, but rather use it here. Last year in July we drove down Sunday and was to stay until Friday. I got sick do to a infection in my foot and was told not to travel for several days. The staff here took care of getting us a room for all the time we needed at a great price. This was prime season too. Thanks to them I recoverd in a nice relaxing room and not a roach hotel for the same price. This was a great load off our sholders at a very diddicult time. When we got to Florida we were a day early and couldnt check in our room until the following day, so we went down the street and got a differetn room at the nastiest holte i've ever stayed in. That hotel was so gross...that set the mood for what we thought to expect from this hotel as well...We were far from it...the hotel let us check into our room 3 hours early, but they also allowed us use of the parking garage and pool areas before that as well...When we went up to our room we were VERY surprised...It was beautiful...exceeded our expectations by far...the room was clean and very large...We didnt expect it to be as large as it was. We booked a 2bdrm suite and what we got was awesome...there was a full kitchen a dining room, living room, there was also a kitchenette by the other bedroom. The bedrooms were gorgeous we had an oceanview, but with that also came a view of the beautiful city at night. in the one bedroom there was an access to the balcony and in the other bedroom there was a jacuzzi tub. there were also 2 full bathrooms. they didnt have bathtubs, but they had showers. there was also more privacy in the room then we thought there would be. the room also came with a cd player in the living room and radios with ipod docks in the bedrooms. the tv's in each bedroom and the living room were nice and large. the living room even had a dvd player and vcr. I would definately reccomend this hotel to anyone. The staff was also very friendly and accomodating...there was one front desk employee Keiko that was eally nice. check out time is 10 am and when we had a hard time getting our stuff out of the room due to busy elevators they didnt charge or rush us out. They also dont charge for visitors which was nice. we got 2 parking passes and extra wristbands for anyone who came...the living room even provided a sleeper sofa for extra guests as well...this room was definately worth the money...we will stay here for all our future trips to daytona beach....

The things that I did like about this place was the size of the rooms and everything included in the rooms, like silverware, full sized fridge, jacuzzi tub, blah blah blah. The washer and dryer was free, that was cool. Besides that, the rooms were dirty...it was obvious they NEVER dusted, when I walked around barefoot, the bottoms of my feet were black almost instantly, and the 3 days and 4 nights we stayed there, housekeeping never cleaned our room ONCE! Other people that stayed there were completly disrespectful, talking extremely loud and running around the hallways and floors above. Several times on two different nights I had drunk people knock on my door and run off for the fun of it at 2am. The hallways also stink. The elevators were so old and rickety it was scary to ride them. There was limited parking in the tiny parking garage underneath the hotel.

We had a lot of fun, right on the beach, everything walking distance from movie theatre,shops,local restaurants. Pool is small, elevator very slow in hotel(only 11 floors) hotel and pool area needs cleaning.staff was nice. nicely priced. would stay again.

Terrible. Booked room and the day of arrival was told there was no room available. Drove 1,000 miles and never recieved a phone call or anything. My kids did not get to stay by the boardwalk. They took the liberty of spending my money and booked me in motel a mile down the street that was 1/2 as nice. All I got from the manaqer wa we're sorry. On the way out another couple told me they did not get the room they booked. Beware they might not have the accomdations you planned and paid for. The most you'll get is were sorry. Not good enough

I liked everything about this place. We stayed at the Presidential Suite and you couldn't ask for anything better. It was very clean, spacious and with the best view that you could ever have. I would definetly without a doubt stay here again. Thank you for making my stay an unforgettable one.

I loved how it was right on the beach that was the best part. But I think that they need to update the pictures. I looked at pictures on the internet before we left to go down there and I was really disappointed about how it looked. SO UPDATE PICTURES PLEASE!!!!! But this was a really nice place the staff was very polite and helpful!!!!
