Novotel Bangkok Platinum, Orlando

There is was nothing about this place I can say was good. Water leaking over top the breakfast bar, they just put bucket out it was dripping on the food. Location is not Winter Park it 15 from there. Very noisy near interstate. Mold in the bathroom that was in need of fresh caulk job, and very old brown colored bath towels I was uncomfortable with drying with. I had to go to front desk twice to get key card that would work in my door. Whole place smells of Indian scent and fourth floor hall way smelled of animal urine. At 11pm they were working drilling or something making all kinds of noise called front desk they said they are usually only work till 11:30pm and then will stop and hung up phone. I left after check in to get something to eat, not much chose from cause of bad location and an excort, hooker, whatever you want to call them tried to approach me. i tried to park and she keep trying till i got out of car and was inside the dirty, molding, noisy building they trying to pass has a three star Winter Park hotel. I will not ever stay here or La Quinta again.

look okay from the front nice in the lobby nice staff but then when you enter the lift its like faulty towers its really is rather funny hallway carpets gross room dark and dreary no soap are shampoos and the towel rail fell off it was funny we laughed about it on plane back home and pool yuk wont be going back there again is it really a 3 star hotel its laughable but the staff were nice

I have stayed at La Quinta's before and have always had a great experience but this one was one of the worst experiences in my hotels stays. I have to say the staff was nice but the quality of the rooms were terrible. We should have known by the dirty hallways that our room wouldn't be the best. The first room we had almost knocked us out as we walked in with a musty smell. We sprayed it down with deoderizer and it didn't make a difference. Then the toilet wouldn't flush, the phone didn't work, and the floor was damp in spots. Well we called the manager and like I said the people were nice but we were told the floor was that way because the air wasn't on, the chain was off the toilet, and the phone just probably needed the connections checked (well when connections were checked it still didn't work). He said he would get someone up to fix it. We left when we came back about 2 hours later it smelled worse, the phone still did not work, the floor was still damp and the toilet still did not flush. By the way we were with a group and they didn't have much better luck. So because of health issues (diabetes and emphysema0 we asked to be moved along with one other room from our group. We were given two more rooms to look at. They weren't much better so the one lady decided to keep her room, we found one with a dry floor and took it. Well the toilet had to be flushed 3-4 times each time (they did plunge it) and I saw a roach on the bathroom floor along with hair in the tub that shouldn't of been their and the paper around the toilet tissue had stains on it. My daughter said the lock on the pool fence was broken and as we watched out our window keeping an eye on our van there were people hanging around it making loud noises. Needless to say we couldn't wait for morning to come and have the complimentary breakfast (that's another story). I would not reccomend this hotel. By the way I forgot to tell you that someone tried to go into this other persons room down the hall and when the went to the door they took off.

A manager, Richard, and other staff were very professional and helpful. A maintenance man even offered to help us with our luggage. Our room was clean. The housekeeper even came to the lobby as I was checking out to return a bag of medications that I had inadvertantly left in the room. On the downside, there are a few issues regarding upgrading the property that they appear to be working on. This is one of the very few hotels in the Orlando area that allows dogs. Our son lives in Orlando, and this is our hotel of choice each time we visit. We plan to continue to use this hotel for future visits.

Stayed in many hotels, this was by far the dirtiest ( 1* is the lowest allowed to give.) The internet presentation of the property was vastly over-done. Pool and exercise room are pathetic.

The place was nice on the Outside but the room left alot to be desired. After checking in I had to change rooms 2 times to get a room with clean sheets. After falling asleep I was awoke twice by what looked like a local drug dealer asking for someone who stayed in this room prior. And then by security at 4:00AM asking if I had a yello VW parked outside. I should out at that point but I was tired. Never again!
