The Ramada Gateway Hotel is located just one mile from the gates of Walt Disney World® Resort and minutes from the main tourist attractions and world class entertainment like SeaWorld® Universal® Orlando, renowned restaurants and the best shopping centers. The Ramada Gateway Hotel is located in the heart of the fun and offers comfortable rooms, superb recreational areas and provides a friendly service to all visitors.This hotel features several onsite activities, such as miniature golf, basketball, shuffleboard, or an arcade. Free shuttles whisk guests to Walt Disney World® Resort. A covered garden area houses pool tables and ping pong tables. Two pools are also found on site, one of them seasonally heated. Guests may dine at either of our two restaurants and a lounge bar. The hotel also offers 24-hour front desk, safe deposit boxes, laundry services, a tour desk, fitness center, gift shop and business center. This hotel features Deluxe and Standard rooms. The Deluxe rooms are located in the hotel tower and are equipped with Internet access and microwaves. The Standard rooms are outside corridor and overlook the gardens, pool or parking. Both categories of room are comfortably equipped with refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and a flat-screen LCD TV with cable channels.

ROOMS NOT SAFE! GOT ROBBED!

The trip started out nice, the room was comfortable and the staff was courteous. While at Disney, our room was broken into and our valuables were stolen. The police officers demonstrated how the outdated locks at this hotel can be opened with a thick piece of paper (like the pizza menus that are slipped through the door twice per day). This in conjunction with the manager's admission that this happens frequently was enough for us to end our trip early. The manager told us that there would be no charge for the room, however, my credit card was charged for the room a few days later. The manager refused to return our calls. This budget hotel cost us THOUSANDS of dollars.

stay at a animal shelter

I never want to stay at other Ramada again and will advise my friend's and family not to stay at this location or any other Ramada locations. The room was never cleaned, the linens where never changed. It is a place that i don't even want my dog to stay in. I am very disappoited with this place. It is the last time that i take Jetblue's recommendation and will not book package deals with them at least not into Florida.

never stay here again

We were charged 320.00 for a 2 night stay. The over charged our account on Friday night and we were at Epcott and tried to use our debit card and we only had 5 dollars left in our account. Went back to the hotel and printed out our bank statement that showed they withdrew 140.00 then 70.00 then 70.00 then 50.00. We had the proof but the manager told us there was nothing he could do until Monday! We had no money left and they could not do anything til Monday! Bull......! They tried to say that we must have used the card in the hotel somewhere! Are you kidding? Oh yeah and the pizza we got from the pizza hut was about 5 inches for 7.00 and the breakfast buffet was awful! We had to wait for coffee and a knife and fork! my food was cold before I got the fork!

Comfortable Stay

There were slight issues with the cleanliness of the room other than that this is a great hotel if you are doing a lot of sight seeing or visiting the parks. The hotel has great amenities (game room, pool, weight room etc) The breakfast was ok. Rooms are spacious open and its located right on 192 among a host of shops, restaurants etc. It was suitable for our stay.

For the money, this location was wonderful. We had a clean, comfy double queen "inn" room right over the pool. The service was good. The pool was clean and heated. If you want 5 star, go somewhere else. Considering most are staying here and going each day to a new Disney park, this hotel offers a great value with clean and safe and comfortable accomodations.

I would NEVER stay there again

Staff were friendly enough. The room was in the court yard. The air conditioner was so loud it was hard to sleep. The breakfast buffet was awful. Horrible watery eggs, Hi C for juice.But this was not the wost of it. Both of us broke out in a very itchy , pimpely rash. We both had to seek medical attention when we got home. Our dermatologist said it was bedbugs!We called the hotel and they said they'd "look into it". Needless to say we were NOT happy. Never again.

Dont even think about it.

This property needs a general overhaul. We stayed on the 8th floor, nice view, but the carpet needed cleaning in our room. The bathroom needs gutting and starting over, it was dirty. When the air conditioning went on, it sounded like a traction engine. It woke us up all the time. The exhaust in the bathroom didnt work. The breakfast is a buffet, and is somewhat decent, but thats all I can say. Concierge are prompt, no hassles on any kind of time share vacations. The lobby is very inviting for a hotel this size, but the rooms need updating. I will be writing to Ramada's main office. Plenty of places to stay in that general area.

Excellent hotel, price and service

Great value, very good people in service, quick check in and check out, very friendly staff and clean hotel in and out. It should be a 4 star hotel in my opinion but not sure. Your stay here will be very smooth and pleasant. Highly recommended. They don't have free Interntet access though. They have an onsite web cafe where you pay per minute and its kinda expensive.

Good All Round

Our family stayed there for 2 weeks and didn't encounter any problems during our stay. We found that all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Facilities were very good especially the fitness room and the swimming pools. The rooms and the surrounding area outside were always kept clean.We were impressed with the hotel and would definitely choose to stay there again.

wouldn't go back

check-in one area no transportation to take you to the Ramada but they can get the ceasear fro $10 ver bad reach approx. 8:30pm told at front desk room was ready. Room was not ready they did not vaccum which means to me that they did not change the bedding... had to have them send a cleaning staff down to vaccum we strip the bed completley and ask for new and clean sheet. pillow cases and blankets. At the same time i am killing ants. One day they left us towels but didn't take the dirty ones, then the next time they took the dirty towels and left us no towels. had to call them twice after 4 days to come and vaccum the room again. The carpet is dirty. the bathroom wasn't clean properly. the next day we went and got us some bleach and tide to clean the bathroom. we had young children 11yrs. the staff never know nothing. yet they wanted to sell you timeshare. well if you cannot treat us right in the beginning why would i want to invest in you????? it is not family frinedly
