Nice business hotel, annoying extra charges

Apparently I stayed in a renovated room. It was very nice and stylish. The bed was incredibly comfortable which was nice after arriving on a red eye. Also, there were rooms so I was able to check in at 8.30a. Awesome. They also had free fruit at the reception so I was able to eat healthier than normal.
There were two downsides which really grated for me. Internet was not free as it is in many hotels. And there was an extra charge for parking. The internet in their business center cost $.35/minute which means it adds up REALLY fast. This compares unfavorably with other hotels where wifi is usually free (if you have a computer) and often have free business centers. As for parking, there was a $10/night charge which seemed somewhat ludicrous as the lot was only 1/4 full. I can see having a gate verifying that one is a guest, but an extra $10 when one is spending a fair chunk of change is obnoxious. Consequently, I had a better experience at the Holiday Inn two exits to the South.
