Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Hollywood Beach Airport, Dania Beach

We found this hotel to be very affordable (got through a discount website), very safe and very CLEAN! My previous experiences in the area include cochroaches but not this place. The pool area is large with hammocks for relaxing. I would suggest having a car (and be prepared to pay overight parking fees) as there are no restaurants close by (hotel does have a fancy onsite). Located at I-95 and Griffin with easy access to interstate and can walk to commuter rail station (10 minute walk). We flew into FLL, stayed overnight and then used a transport service (SAS) the next morning to get to the Miami Cruise Ports (about 30-40 mins.). FLL was cheaper than Miami to fly into and the transport company charged us less than we would have paid from Miami to the ports via taxi.

I liked this location because it is close to the airport and the shuttle is fairly good with picking you up..my only complaint is this is my second time visiting this hotel my first visit was in Mar and I guess I didnt really realize the a/c is terrible until I visited in Oct when the humidity was awful, that is my only complaint I would not stay here during hot and humid months I switched rooms and still same thing...otherwise the hotel is good to sleep no activities nothing locally close, not even a market only drawback.

Apparently I stayed in a renovated room. It was very nice and stylish. The bed was incredibly comfortable which was nice after arriving on a red eye. Also, there were rooms so I was able to check in at 8.30a. Awesome. They also had free fruit at the reception so I was able to eat healthier than normal. There were two downsides which really grated for me. Internet was not free as it is in many hotels. And there was an extra charge for parking. The internet in their business center cost $.35/minute which means it adds up REALLY fast. This compares unfavorably with other hotels where wifi is usually free (if you have a computer) and often have free business centers. As for parking, there was a $10/night charge which seemed somewhat ludicrous as the lot was only 1/4 full. I can see having a gate verifying that one is a guest, but an extra $10 when one is spending a fair chunk of change is obnoxious. Consequently, I had a better experience at the Holiday Inn two exits to the South.

My husband and I went into the Hilton Garden Inn Dania Beach July 15th of 2006, for our Honeymoon,the greeting we recieved at the front desk was superb !!! from then we have been staying at this wonderful Hotel !! I recommend this hotel to you and your family.

I was traveling alone with 3 seven year olds and waited 1/2 hour for the shuttle bus and it passed right by us. I called again and it took 25 more minutes for it to come back and get us. No appologies!!! THEN when we arrived it appeared they had booked a Gay Rodeo Group. I would not of minded if the men weren't walking around in drag (pink tutus, high heals, wigs and makeup). Explaining that to seven year olds is interesting at best. THEN the party ended and they came back to the room next to me. When I called the front dest there was no answer - what a surprise (not). THEN this morning when I went to get on the shuttle there were too many people. I insisted that we go and ended up sitting on my luggage on the floor. This seemed like their practice since the driver made no appology and they never called for a backup shuttle. They just said wait half an hour (not). WHEN I called today to discuss this with the manager he was quick to point out that it is "The legal right of any group to stay at his hotel and that it would be against their legal rights to give "families" the option of finding alternate facilities." This is definately not a family place. The room was newly redone but lacked a hair dryer. I would find anyplace else than here!!!!

The worst hotel I have stayed in for years. There was extensive construction being done, the rooms were dirty, the carpets and curtains stained, and the area was very noisy. The air conditioner was faulty and at least 30 years old.The "heated" outdoor pool was as cold as ice. There was even a dead lizard in the window! Our view was of a boat junkyard and a freeway. Stay well away from this slum (at $210 per day). Date of stay 12/28/06

On December 2, 2006 we arrived at this hotel with a credit card secured reservation that had been made months before, and were informed that they were "sold out". They sent us to a horrible hotel in the middle of the night 30 minutes away, where incredibly, roaches scampered about in the bathroom. If management can't even honor their reservations, what else can't they do right? Shame on Wyndham! We will never, never reserve a room for any of Wyndham International Corporation's hotels, or their affilites, or parent company again.

Definitely do not take the airport shuttle service to the Wyndam, and to save yourself the trouble, do not stay here at all! After arriving at the airport a little late, we waited over an hour for the Wyndam shuttle despite the fact that the hotel staff said it would be there "any minute". Apparently one of the two vans had broken down. We finally spoke to the hotel manager who refused to reimburse us for a taxi fare, so we continued to wait. Shortly after midnight, the van arrived and the driver said he was unaware that we had been waiting. After picking up more passengers at the other terminals, we drove past the surly driver of the other van who shouted obscenities at us. Upon check in, we were given a noisy room over the lobby. We tried to check out using the in-room TV menu but it was off-line. The check-out staff was rude and refused to credit frequent flier miles because he couldn't find our records. With a nice Sheraton across the street, we recommend that you choose it over the Wyndam.

I stayed here for a night on a business trip. The staff was very accomodating and welcoming. The room was big and clean. The lobby was nice too. Unfortunately I did not get to use the hotel's pool or other facilities. The hotel is very close to the airport and rental car stands.

This hotel was nice and cozy but it was in a bad spot for us spring breakers. This is because it was about 15 minutes away from the beach and all of the nightclubs and restaurants. The only advantage that this had was that it was steps away from the airport. Overall it was a good experience but would have liked to been closer to the beach.
