Multiple visits, but this was the last
we have been to Doral about 6 times over the last 4 years and have noticed an increasing dislike of the hotel. the grounds, pools and the golf are nice, but the included caddy for the Blue Monster are not necessary if you've been there before. our room in the spa was spacious but the shower was awful and it was not an attractive room. seemed that there are a few varying styles, and #12 is not interesting. the shower was actually a corner tub with a handheld only shower head that came to your waist, so you had to hold it to do anything, sitting or standing. water went everywhere. i complained to a staff member, hopefully they will fix it.
overall, after many visits the nickle and dime philosophy is getting too much. all of the "help" you encounter expects a tip. you could go broke just passing out bills. service is declining over these 4 years and prices are rising. don't know how it got a 4 star rating last year. staff in general needs some training in how to be a 4 star hotel. it is such a beautiful place but there are just too many others that do this resort golf better.
